  • Yes, I like it a lot. Nice hefty knife very well built. Very sharp, the clip has to stay in one location.

    • I started to mention that one also. It's a fine looking knife that one. I've looked several times just didn't hit the buy button.

I'd like a fixed blade about that same size. 6" overall would be nice.

      • Gerber makes the Wallowa an 8" fixed blade, has stag grip, around 70 bucks. Nice looking knife You may want to check it out if interested.

        • Yeah, I think I've looked at that one. I'm trying to stay 6" or under. I wear it with my civilian uniform or office attire on my left side about 7 oclock. Don't want it to be too huge but I dig stag handles too. It's just for stabbing and cutting the hand of someone trying to grab my gun. Some just wear folders on their left side for the same purpose but I can't even effectively pick my nose with my left hand so I struggle with a folder.

No rules about knives in the dept so I may just try my Khukri in a shoulder sling and just cut the hand off. We'll see how long that goes before there are rules about knives in the dept.

Knives are almost as addictive as guns. I think when we don't have enough marbles to gun shop, we resort to knife shopping for a quick fix. I have a drawer full of evidence of this and many here apparently do also as seen in pictures of knife piles.

Sho nuff, it's exactly the one I was looking at. AND it's only 6 1/4" over all length. The sheath won't work (I don't think) but the knife might be a dandy. I just might hit the buy button. Make a nice BD gift for myself in a couple weeks. Don't anticipate no guns this year. I wasn't a very good boy, meaning they all spent the money faster than I could make it. Such is life.

            • Well, now ya done it. Gotta show off my huge carry knife. Time to start the "Good Bad Ugly" music....

Careful this'll put your eye out:

Well, a more better look at my favorite (only) knife. Ole grizzly is safe from me.

Last May, my son took me a hundred plus miles North to Bass Pro Shop and bought me this little gentleman's knife. After all, I am a gentleman - at least that's my cover. I haven't had a knife in over 60 years but wanted a memento of the trip.

Yeah I was gonna come back and let you know your were right. Right next to it was the drop point and it was exactly 7.98 inches or something. So you were absolutely correct, I just stumbled on a slightly shorter version.

One of the guys here thinks it's not really tacticool. Damn kids and their tacticool an tupperware rifles.

Haven't hit the buy button yet, gotta see if there enough room in the drawer if it doesn't work. I like it for what ever little bit that might be worth.

Well, if we all liked the same thing, then life would be pretty dull. Hey you like what you like. I guess you will just have to start another drawer, i'm sure that would be ok with the better half(not). LOL

True story, different strokes for different folks and a completely different stroke for Dietrich.

People have told me I have weird taste for so long that I've started believing them and feel the need for other peoples approval. Sadly I usually still get what I wanted or liked in the first place so it's kind of a waste of time.

I saw a T shirt the other day that said "I like me, and that's all that matters."

Profound when I ponder it. Is it a sin to wear a shirt that lies?

Well, you know the CRKT site, of course. I got a catalog the other day from Lynn Thompson's Special Projects, a division of Cold Steel. There are folders, fixed blades, swords, machetes, kuhkris, hatchets, speers, throwing stars, you name it, at every price range. If $20 is your limit, you can find something suitable.
                              Very interesting...
