Here is a photo of my wife's Beretta 950 BS that I purchase for my wife almost 30 years ago , she carried it for years before moving to a S&W 642. She wanted it so she could load and then **** it with out the need to cycle the slide. Good little gun and they were very popular with the ladies back then.

Oh, yeah...forgot about that. It only took once, but I still have a scar.

At the range I fired a total of 18 rounds of fmj through it with zero malfunctions and it was suprisingly accurate.

The only problem was that tiny little hammer kept biting the web of my hand.

This is not a carry piece; just had to have it because the price was right and it's condition was very good.

And did you see some of the fancy versions at thousands of dollars?!

I wish I still had my PSP. I forget what I paid for it, but it was $100 and some change. About 100% and fired very little if at all when I got it. And you talk about a slide to frame fit? It was perfect!
            Very interesting...

I have wanted an early version Baby Browning since I was a kid. Never really searched for one, and the few I did run across were overpriced. A few years ago I got hornswagled into sending a (former) friend on another gun forum $175 for a really nice looking Baer that he had tweaked and also hand checkered the front strap. I was going to also pay the shipping fee and his ffl fee. In short, I lost $175 and any desire to do further business on blind trust.

I still want the Baer, but mostly for the novelty.

You know, I've always found the Colt Junior interesting because it is single action with a hammer, and has attractive wood grips.

For a great part of it's run (1958-68?) the Junior was a re-badged Astra Cub. I have a Cub. It's a very nice little pistol; accurate (does have tiny sights, but mine shoots to them) and reliable. I'd like to pick up it's mate in .22 short someday. In regards to actual use, I think these little guns were among the best .25 Autos ever made.

Yup, never thought this would get off the ground but it's flying well on it's own.

I made a set of grips for one of them Astra Cubs some years back, (wasn't real fun fitting around the mag release) I'm frantically trying to remember who I did them for. I know it was somebody local. Probably owes me money. The mind is a terrible thing to lose.

I need to start posting to every thread he starts. I seem to be a thread killer most of the time.

                            That'll learn him
