Just don't do like those funny videos where they put too much grease in and it overflows when they put the turkey in, setting one hell of a fire!
    Very interesting...

Beer battered Bass. Beer battered cucumbers or zuchinni.

No kidding...She who must be obeyed says I have to do it this year in a fryer because she has too much other stuff in the oven...I read the instructions real good and it looks pretty simple if you do exactly what they say and like you said don't add too much oil so it overflows....

The only thing that bothers me is one of my former supervisors at work was frying one a couple years ago and it started to rain so he turned off the flame and went to move the fryer in his garage after he thought it had cooled down enough but ended up spilling hot oil all over one leg and foot ending up with 2nd and 3rd degree burns......He was out of work for about 6 months and even with skin grafts and plastic surgery his leg looked God awful!!!...

Thanks Bawann, How about beer battered beer......Somebody told me that canned biscuits come out pretty good so I think I'll try that and see....I have also heard of fried pickles and fried snickers bars But I don't think that would work out so good...

I have done a few turkeys that way, the only thing is I miss the stuffing. They are a lot more moist when deep fried. I use a marinade you can inject into the turkey, really gives it a great taste. I think it's called Cajun injector comes with the marinade and a shake on seasoning. I got it at wally world. There are other brands, but we like the cajun. Try deep fried cauliflower, pretty tastie. Good luck and happy turkey day.

Here's a long shot....how about french fries? Sprinkle them with some garlic, salt, pepper...dip in anything you like while watching that game on TV.

The deep fryer is way faster than the oven. I still prefer the oven. We quite often do one in the oven and deep fry the other so get a little of both.
I'll have to check with the wife but I think we did do a ham one time too but I might be wrong on that.

We'll have a houseful of people tomorrow. Wife was kind enough even though still ticked about a recent gun purchase attempt that she picked me up some medicinal scotch. She's aces in my book.

I heard an advertisement for deep fried Kool-Aid during the state fair a couple months ago. Still trying to figure that one out.

Deep fried walleye and yellow perch. The only way to fry.

Every year round these parts you read over the weekend about someone burning down their house after an unsuccessful attempt at the deep fried turkey. Don't let it be you.
