Is that one of them Lords single shot derringers. I had a pair in a case for a bit, I think they belonged to the neighbor, I did something to them, don't recall what.
Kind of cool, tried talking him out of them but he wasn't having it. Not much of a gun guy.
I hear his son who is growing up probably 16 or so by now I reckon or close likes guns a lot. Don't see him too often but need to get him out shooting.
My son's not being around all the time I need a new pard I reckon.

Yep, that's one of the single shot .22 Short derringers - I think a company called Butler started making them first (patterned after the antique .41 caliber Colt #3 derringer), then Colt bought them out. My Dad bought the tiny thing at a gun show for $20, then when he walked into the house Mom said "that's MY gun". And so it was.
Last week while perusing the Wallyworld ammo cabinet, I saw a couple boxes of CCI CB Shorts (100 count) for $9.97 each. Bought them both, as I hadn't seen any shorts for years.

Gave one box to my brother who has a Winchester 1906 Gallery Model pump rifle that shoots only shorts, so he'll be happy to launch a little bit of lead with it again.

I still have a few shorts around. I sent some to somebody here, can't remember who for vermin control or indoor shooting or something.

^^^ that's a dangerous (for me) picture there Jeepster. I've been aching for a stainless SW for a long time. 686+ snub would be perfect. Stay away from the gun store, stay away from the gun store... If I say it enough it might just work.

Good luck, I had no will power, I started out getting the 63 [22] then had to have the matching 60 [38/357] it only made sense to the get the 686+ being they are all 3 inch models. Now I am lusting for a short barrel 460. Step away from the gun stores......
