I can say, having recently acquired a Winchester 94, that the 30-30 is one heck of a rifle platform. I had always discounted it in my mind before, but now I understand that it is a seriously powerful cartridge and makes an excellent defensive or hunting rifle. The only problem with this particular rifle is that it is just godforsaken ugly. It is still extremely powerful and I still wouldn't want to be on the business end of it.

I have one and it is great !!! With the adjustable stock just about anyone can shoot it. From a person that is under 5 foot to all the way to 7 foot can shoot this. When the Hummer first came out people said it was ugly, but it sold. I was told that they have a hard time keeping this thing in stock as it is selling pretty well. God Bless

I know it's adjustable for a variety of shooters, but I just can't do an AR collapsible stock on a lever gun. A black synthetic stock would have been ok.“I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people, except for a few public officials.”

Looks like that thing was designed by someone who's still on a bad acid trip from the late 60's. All that tacticool plastic BS would have to go straight to the recycle bin, where maybe it could be melted down into something useful. To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

Now yall, we ought to lighten up a bit here, VBVAGUY has one and he says he likes it.
Many here (never myself) don't feel looking cool is important. So from a practical application stand point it might have merit. I don't see none but that sure don't mean it ain't there.
Now to me looking cool is everything, job #1, numero uno! I'm also an old school wood guy so this just isn't gonna float my boat. I do love a nice lever gun, love a nice bolt gun and I'm starting to warm up to some of them automatic rifles too, so I got a semi open if small mind to soak this up.
But there's someone for everyone and some folks just might find it appealing. I know I got an urge to find one, put a paper sack over my head and hold it and look it over in real life. Maybe I'd 180 and think highly of it. Never know.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

Bawanna some things are just better off being left alone, as they are perfect already. True classics. That's like putting a poly frame on a 1911. Sure it works but does it really work. Maybe for some it does, but not in my world.

To be brutally honest and you gotta know I still love you, you crossed the line putting a scope on that fine lever gun. Just ain't natural.
Now some would say with my old eye's I need the scope, but that don't justify not looking cool. You just fake it or get a scatter gun or a bolt rifle that can wear a scope and look natural and most of all look cool.
There's certain old school etiquette that shouldn't be messed with.
I'm sorry but I'm gonna have Jocko send you a horse head as a reminder.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!
