What would you recommend as a fullsize pistol similar to a CM9, grip angle/ trigger pull but around $500 or less, don't think there is a fullsize Kahr in that range. using a CM9 for CCW but looking for something for range/HD. Thanks.

Fullsize pistol non Kahr?

The title of your thread suggested you were looking for a non-Kahr recommendation, but the body of your post suggested you might like to know if there is a Kahr answer.
So, I would ask if you've considered a Kahr K9 or E9? If you look hard enough they can be found$500, and they do give you a full grip on the handle ... at least my E9 gives me a gull grip in any case.

Fullsize pistol non Kahr?
A quality full size pistol for range or home defense in the $500 range? If you want striker fired there is the Glock 17 and M&P 9. Most will say the grip on the M&P is better, and it is, but the trigger leaves a lot to be desired. If you would consider hammer fired, I recommend a CZ 75 variant. There are lots to choose from. Manual safety/decocker, steel/polymer frame, rail/no rail. All have excellent ergonomics and are quality guns, and many can be found new in the $500 range or less. I'm sure there are plenty more options, but those would be my first choices.Originally posted by Fxstchewy View PostWhat would you recommend as a fullsize pistol similar to a CM9, grip angle/ trigger pull but around $500 or less, don't think there is a fullsize Kahr in that range. using a CM9 for CCW but looking for something for range/HD. A K9 would be sweet if you an find a nice one...A great alternative I always advise people who want a full size all steel gun at a very good price is any S&W Gen III pistol...lots are cop trade in's that have low round counts, carried much, shot little....Check out a 6906 9mm which can be had for less than $400.00 and S&W will honor the lifetime warranty and parts, magazines are plentiful....A great shooting (heavy) all steel, last a lifetime pistol...." Your thread asks for three features besides the price: grip angle, Kahr-like trigger, full size.
Trying to meet all three you might want to check out polymer DAO Sig Sauers...like the P250. Then again if a K model Kahr is big enough...but you cannot find one...was a CW the size you are after? There is always the T or TP models. That's the largest Kahr makes. You might be able to find one used in your price range. Maybe. A CW is within your limit. The most Kahr-like trigger I've been able to find in a different brand is Para Ordnance LDA. They used to be made in various sizes and they are still available used...but just a bit over your range. $7-800 is common but you could find less. I saw one for $600. For me it's like a k45 if Kahr made one. All stainless.
I think there are options if you research. These are just some ideas...not recommendations.O|||||||O

I know it
is a nice gun the ruger, but I ould never really cuddle up to that model. For me it just doesn't look rightOriginally posted by Armybrat View PostRuger SR9 - under $500.
Excellent pistol with excellent ergonomics. They fit the hand very comfortably.

. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

If you like the feel of a CW9, then you would definitely like the feel of a K9. I bought my E9 without ever having seen or handled one, and I love it. From my MK9 I knew I liked all metal, and I knew I wanted something slightly bigger, so I figured that a K9/E9 was a no-brainer.Originally posted by Fxstchewy View PostIf i could find a fullsize Kahr around 500 i would look into it, not many shops close to me that carry anything other than PM's/CM's and CW's. would want to handle it before buying it.
Here's one on Armslist.com for $400.

I wanted a SW GenIII until I held one. Definitely hold one before you buy one. Many swear by them but I didn't like it at all. That was a shame because it is a great gun for the $$$.Originally posted by getsome View PostA K9 would be sweet if you an find a nice one...A great alternative I always advise people who want a full size all steel gun at a very good price is any S&W Gen III pistol...lots are cop trade in's that have low round counts, carried much, shot little....Check out a 6906 9mm which can be had for less than $400.00 and S&W will honor the lifetime warranty and parts, magazines are plentiful....A great shooting (heavy) all steel, last a lifetime pistol....O|||||||O

Closest thing I ever found was the Sig P250, if you want double-stack and capacity. It's DAO, so a _similar_ trigger, but the length of pull is greater and its a tad heavier than a Kahr. But for a range/training gun for having a Kahr as a carry weapon, definitely an option.

Had one in .40..................nice grip, good price..........traded it for a P220 sas................it just felt a bit cheap................Originally posted by Fxstchewy View PostActually was thinking of this or a S&W SD9VE, Hickok45 on youtube said the SD9 trigger felt like a Kahr trigger.
