First and foremost, Happy Birthday to you. I have had this exact gun in my hands and it's a work of art.
You have to tell us how many cookies it cost.
Anything revolver that comes out of the S&W Performance Center puts the rest to shame. I'll bet you could talk about the trigger pull and let off for an hour.
It's your Birthday and you deserve it, but even if it were not, how do you say no to that.
And your are right, it's brand new. No cylinder ring, I sure the previous owner just held it with white gloves.USN ~ Retired

that is one nice revolver. I carry a 3" Sp101 in the field for daily carry, but that 60 would certainly become my favorite Sunday go to meeting carry.
Congrats on the good find, and for making another calendar year.

Congratulations - Enjoy your new Smith!
I'm the proud owner of a S&W 65-3 M&P 3" Heavy Barrel myself.
Buttery trigger and deadly accurate.
I like to carry mine with Remington Golden Sabers.
The medium power 125 gr Magnum rounds are soft shooting and group well.
The K Frame will run full power Magnum ammo.
But follow up shots for me are an issue.
Of course it's a kitty cat with 158 gr 38 Specials.
Hits the target good with those too -

Nice looking revolver. My BIL has a Model60 Pro and it's a favorite. He brings it almost every range day. It's had some trigger work and is really sweet. I've been a Ruger revolver fan so I really don't know what the SW (dash)xx model numbers mean. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
Happy birthday you ol'coot. Enjoy your great find!O|||||||O

Thanks guys for all the comments and birthday wishes. I think I got a good deal at $550.00 considering the condition of the gun. I have a son serving in The U.S. Air Force who has had one of these at the top of his short list for several years. Kevin is currently stationed in South Korea and when I showed it to him last night using Skype, His first words were what do you want for it? Since I knew that he has wanted one for a long time and had not been able to find one. I decided to tell him that he could have it for what I paid for it. I then told him I would transfer it to him once he was back state side. Before I could get off Skype I received an email where he had made a EBT to my account with the money. Even though I really like the gun and would have loved to keep it, I am happy that I was able to help him get one of his dream firearms. All in all I had a wonderful and blessed 60th birthday.Tony,
