I'm for sure sensing a happy ending here except for the HK's that is. You can use them for range toys or ornaments for the safe or something I'm sure.

I'm really digging that the Vbob is singing to you. Kind of sad that you don't hate it and sell it to me for 500 or better 300, I think I might have that much.

I have no doubt that you dig it even more after you shoot it.

I like to tell folks I'm always right, it just sometimes takes me a long time to convince everybody else.

That make my britches stick out in front but no big surprise there I guess.

        Let's see some targets......................

See it has a checkered mainspring housing also. Mine is Baby Backside smooth.

All the above are just crutches for sloppy technique, but even those with the best technique can slip up.

I have a new v-bob in black & as far as "idiot scratch" the slide stop has a cut in it. I just line things up & push straight in. It goes in easily.

All you need now is a nice quality Leather holster. No kydex for 1911's, state law. There are many to choose from, I can share my favorites if you need any help.

The Bianchi Pistol Pocket is extremely comfortable for all day carry of a steel frame Commander.

Maybe they planned ahead and incorporated that notch in the take down lever. That's sweet if they did.

I'll have to check on that next time I strip it down.
But the gun does reassemble easy.
Don't see how you idiot scratch this V-Bob.
Unless your hitting the bottle at the time - LOL!

BTW Spanking new and rather tight.
Was able to disassemble/reassemble with no tools
The EGW carry bevel bushing is totally Sweet

Thefinergrain continues to not respond to inquiries about status of my grips?
My credit card has been charged.
But no response to multiple emails
Not happy at all about this.
On a positive note Tripp responds immediately and will swap mags with just shipping cost.
Very fast and great customer service. Tripp is a total class act
Looking forward to running their mags in my V-Bob.

Guess some folks don't like CheaperThanDirt.
But they seem to be all over cancelling my wrong mag Wilson Combat's.
Have best of the best correct size Wilson mags inbound.
Time to see what the V-Bob prefers...

The shipped DW mags appear to be Checkmate 8 rounders.
The Wilson's are Elite Tactical Heavy Duty +P 8 rounders

I'm thinking the classic Tripp Cobra 7 rounders might be the winner
                        Time will Tell

                        Update:
The Sarge (Ryan), of The Finer Grain, did finally respond to my emails.
It's a small business run by a single guy.
Need to cut the guy some slack.
No tracking number but the package did finally arrive in perfect condition as advertised.
The fit and finish is off the charts.
                        Be patient with this site.
But the product is outstanding and Barth Approved.

Hard to get a picture that gives the grips justice.
