The US needs to get it's budget act together. This whole tea party bully fit has to end. Their acting like bratty kids. If i was Boehner I would strip them of their committies and give them the crappiest offices until they behave. Congress spent the money and now you have to borrow to keep the government solvent. There should be no stipulations. Just pay you bills and get this crap behind you.

Next, congress needs to get their heads together and produce a balance budget. And not balanced solely on the backs of the working poor. Everybody needs to feel the pain. The democrats need to sacrifice some entitlements and the republican have lots of corporate welfare they can cut.

Just my 2 cents, since my country's economy will be collateral damaged of yours.

That's funny cause the Tea Party line is what this forum says we need most of the time. They are fed up with business as usual, promises betrayed, lies ignored, and lives lost and covered up. Oh, and gun control at any level or any type.

How is it ever going to change if somebody doesn't stand up and say enough! We refuse to fund your idiocy and 70% of this country agrees with us. Should they instead say, well okay, we'll fund it but it's a bad bad thing and you really shouldn't have done it? That's business as usual and why it's all gone downhill.

The public should be throughly pissed about this, what is good for the goose should be good for the gander. and giving over 1200 exemptions to companies from voimit care, is just not right. I do think it was the republicans who sent a billtot te senate tomandate both house to be non-exempt brom ovomit care and the senate voted it down. sure they are coving their asses but it just is not right. All should suffer or all should enjoy the benefits of ovomit, not just a select few.

Andclosing our parks in memorials in Washington is just IN YOUR FACE FROM OVOMIT. Not needed, why rope off the WW!! memorial the area is hugh, and it takes no park personal to manage it, let it alone. Lets vets who can still walk to it and who fought for it while ovomit was still in his dads ball bag. This itself should anger vets even more, but again WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE!!!1
The republicans offered just that as a compromise. Drop the special exemptions and we'll fund the government. Obummer and Hairy Reid
said no fricken way. It's the democrats who forced the shutdown.

The Tea party is on our side. They are calling for less government interference in our lives and lower taxes. The vast majority of the tea party members strongly support our 2A rights. The democrats haven't drafted a budget bill in more than three years. Their solution to the problem is to print more money that is worth less and to keep on keeping on with continuing resolutions. In the mean time our National Debt continues to soar out of control. It's time to wake up America, before this country goes completely down the tubes.

The United States could get along quite well without the DOE, the EPA, HEW, BATF, OSHA, EEOC, FDA, IRS etc. Our government currently has 72 departments and agencies. Collectively, they are an alphabet soup of of bottomless pits.

I heard today that the Republicans have authored bills to fund separately some agencies but the Dems voted them down. Also, Obama had announced that the Military would not be paid if the stop happened, then immediately signed a bill to fund them the next day. Obama - Liar in Chief and proud of it.

Actually reminds me of a story. One day in the cold of winter, a girl walking down a dirt road came across a poisonous snake in the road. The snake begged her to pick it up and warm it under her coat. She replied "No you'll bite me" to which he promised he wouldn't. Finally after discussion she picked it up and tucked it under her coat. The snake kept telling her how grateful it was for her generosity. After a little while the snake was nice and cozy so it bit her and jumped to the ground. She yelled and said "You said you wouldn't bit me!" The snake replied "You knew what I was when you picked me up!"

This is why I was amazed at Obama getting reelected.

Was thinking of maybe looking at one of the new Ruger LCP pistols with the improved trigger and sights Saturday but then started to wonder, Can you buy handguns with the Gov shut down? Is the backround check number shut down as well?...Anybody tried the last couple days?

You can still buy a gun. If the background check isn't done in a timely manner the FFL can still release the gun to the purchaser. It may just take a little longer.

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
