CrackerBarrel has reversed its decision re Duck Dynasty products, as of Sunday afternoon.

Why? Was it social media, email, phone calls... as was stated?

Oh hell no.

CrackerBarrel, choice of many "after church" outings was a frikkin ghost town Sunday. It happens to be their biggest day of the week - Sunday AM till closing, catching early morning, mid morning, midday, and evening services.

GHOST TOWN ladies and gents.

Managers called corporate and raised some hell of their own.

Nuff said.

I find it hysterical. Although I agree w/ Phil and I'm happy as a clam w/ his no-back-down statement today (if you haven't read it, you should)...I have to say I don't care WHAT the CB does, I'm still eatin' there. Their pancakes and hashbrown casserole MUST be consumed on a regular basis. Same went for ChickFila. Take a stand, don't take a stand, cave, don't cave. Either way, still eatin' there. Gotta have my combo #1 w/ sweet tea once a week.

You remember a few years back when CrackerBarrel was in trouble for "gay bashing" by their managers? They had to bend over then. It's good they backed off this time.

I wish people would get this fired up over things that really matter, like reduction in veteran's benefits, and other crap that actually affects large groups of people. I guess standing up for 1st amendment rights does affect large groups, but this deal is pretty minor compared to other things going on.
Yes, I'm glad we pretty much won this fight, the LGBT needs to get rejected more often, instead us of catering to the whiny demands of less that 4% of the population most of the time, in the name of PC or liberal tolerance or whatever. Do what you are gonna do, but don't be surprised if your "sinful" lifestyle gets criticized by someone that believes in ALL parts of the Bible, not just the parts they agree with. I hope they are able to bolt from A&E and go to some other network that would love to have them.


I've only watched Duck Dynasty on the Internet, and can see why it's popular, and why it irks non-Christians, atheists, and the LGBT's. But I doubt if very many of those people watch the show anyway, other than to make fun of the "stupid ignorant inbred southern rednecks". You know how the libtards love to feel superior to normal people. I'm sure that's probably about what they think of the DD family, and most southern rural people in general. Those southerners may be rural and probably didn't go to Harvard, but that doesn't make them idiots. Common sense and life experience come in handy a lot of the time, when those college diplomas don't help a bit. I hope they are able to bolt from A&E and go to some other network that would love to have them.

Even though they did a 180, still leaves a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended). We now know where they stand. If it were a business decision, they should have listened to their customers first. I heard a rumor that they are putting the merchandise back, but have no plans to order more.


Yea, I'm a Glenn Beck listener and do a lot of political research on the Intertubes. I'm well aware of the progressive agenda. I recognized the dangers of the Obamas when I first heard Michele say "...for the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country".. I was a liberal hippie when I was young and I know the America haters well. Now, I've seen the stupidity of my thinking and have become much more conservative with some liberal views. I don't label myself, no party affiliate. Let's just say I'm a constitutionalist. I believe that doc is the only thing protecting us from big government tyranny and we better preserve it.

As for Phil Robertson, he has a Masters in Business Administration so he's no dummy and had built his business the hard way and used to go sporting goods store to store selling his duck calls out of his trunk and now he's a multi millionaire and doesn't need the $200.000 an episode A&E pays the family.....

You can make fun of good ole boy southern rednecks all you want but I bet when the SHTF and all those LGBT pukes are cold and hungry that folks like the Robertsons will still be fat, warm and happy!!!

The first amendment had nothing to do with the issue. The federal government made no law restricting Phil's right to free speech. Phil said what he had to say. He was suspended for violating the terms of his contract with his employer by saying what he said. A&E was within its rights to suspend Phil and Phil was within his rights to tell A&E to kiss his redneck behind. In all probability they will come to an amicable agreement or A&E's loss will be Duck Dynasty's gain. And the beat goes on. I do agree with your point that we should be more concerned about things that really matter. This issue doesn't.

Why would you think that Christians praying to Jesus would irk non-Christians? I personally as a non-Christian find the religious aspect of the DD shows quite refreshing and absolutely support their airing their beliefs.

Seriously though, in a way, its completely true. If you stopped doing business with every company you didn't agree with on some political, religious, moral, or ethical basis...you'd be naked, starving, homeless, and defenseless. I would anyway.
