Aggravating. If you are willing to discard every shred of human decency you to could live like this koochey skeezer welfare whore. You obviously will live in the more undesirable/crime infested neighborhoods but what the heck when you are sucking off the government teat.Wake Up...Grow Up...Show Up...Sit Up...Shut Up...Listen Up

EBT cards have been used in restaurants in Disney World. While you bust your hump all year so that you can take a weeks vacation to go camping in the woods with your family, these leeches are going to Disney World on your dime. And just so no one yells racist the white leeches are doing it too.Never trust anyone who doesn't trust you to own a gun.

Muggs, I get your point clearly but I have to ask: Is it ever possible to have a society that takes care of people that fall on hard times and not have abuse of that system? Should the gov have welfare at all? Where do most of the people on this forum sit on this matter. I have no problem giving some money to help people. I think most Americans feel the same way. I think Americans are some of the most generous people in the world; however, no one wants people to make their generous offer of assistance to become a way of life. What is the solution to this conundrum? I offer this question to everyone not just Muggs, but I certainly want to hear what Muggs has to say. And south, straight south, no boat needed. Use buses.
I'm all for helping in time of need for a brief period, just not a lifetime of handouts and subsidized housing on and on and on. It also should be handled on the local level, perhaps state level not federal.
But you have a valid point. I know first hand about all the people faking work related back injuries to get state money.
Every time I ask for something that is covered under the labor and industries insurance program I have to once again prove that I'm actually still injured.
Pain in the well back side. But it's all to try and weed out the fakers trying to get the loot.
The other issue I have is the life time leeches voting. Romney's 47% which is was absolutely dead right about. If your on welfare, any free money from the government you don't get to vote. Also the root of all our current problems.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

Roger that....Talk about a conflict of interest...If you are on welfare you should never be allowed within 500 ft of a voting booth because it's a given who you would vote for...
If you are a drug addict and you get to vote for one of two candidates, one guy says he will get you off drugs, get you a job and back into society and the other guy says he will give you all the drugs you want free of charge and you can even sell some on the side and keep the money, WHO are you going to vote for?????....What's the difference????" An armed society is a polite society".... Robert A. Heinlein

I'm reminded of an earlier time at my first real job working for a fence company. I'd been there long enough that I pretty much worked year around. But work got kind of slow and the boss being a square shooter said if it looked like there would be down time he'd leave me off for a week and get the waiting period out of the way so I could get unemployment.
So I went in and signed up. They gave me a stack of paperwork and asked a bunch of questions. Asked what kind of job I was looking for and like that. I told them I had a job, just work was slow and it was just temporary. They insisted I had to seek a new job and report the places I'd applied at, on and on.
So I told the boss what the deal was and he just had me come in and work on the trucks, oil changes and such. I never collected unemployment in my life.
We had 3 other kind of dead beat helpers. They went and signed up without issue and anytime there was slow time they got unemployment checks. Good thing I had a good boss and he took care of me. The pathetic loser distribution program wasn't gonna help me at all.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

The only downfall to keeping welfare and handouts at the state level is a mass exodus of locust relocating to another state.
Kind of like the California escapees migrating to Washington. Some states just don't have the infrastructure to support an onslaught of migrants.
Case in point is California not having the money to support all the illegals. No state does really.
Of course California doesn't have the money to support half the stupid crap they think up so maybe that's not a good example.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

In my opinion the federal government shouldn't be in the public assistance business. The job of the federal government is to promote the general welfare of it's citizens. The war on poverty has placed as many as five generations of people on public assistance and made them dependents of the State. Charity is voluntarily giving of ones self. Public assistance is governmental theft. It's another example of why socialism has failed every time it's been tried.Originally posted by knkali View PostMuggs, I get your point clearly but I have to ask: Is it ever possible to have a society that takes care of people that fall on hard times and not have abuse of that system? My state of Georgia didn't sign up for Expanded Medicaid under Obamacare because our Republican Governor Nathan Deal said the state couldn't afford the additional expense the program would cost....Heard some clown Community Activist on the radio this morning calling for the Impeachment of Governor Deal because he refused to take the FREE Federal Medicaid money to help out all the states poor people....
Some folks seem to think that any money from the Federal Government of Obama is FREE probably because they never had to pay any taxes and have no idea that Free Government money is confiscated from those who do produce to pay the way for those who refuse to work..."
