Bush 2016 Potential Means A Hopeless Future For American Conservatives

Bush 2016 Potential Means A Hopeless Future For American Conservatives
    UPI FILE

Two years out from the 2016 Presidential election, pundit speculation suggests that American voters are in for a battle between two political dynasties, with Hillary Clinton being the Democrats’ likely pick and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush as the GOP standard-bearer. Either outcome would be devastating for the Nation’s conservatives, especially considering the endorsements that Bush is already getting.
During a recent speaking engagement at the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, House Speaker John Boehner said that, while it “is way too early” to pick a 2016 candidate, he is urging his friend Bush to run.
“Jeb Bush is my friend,” Boehner said. “I think he’d make a great president. And I’ve been nudging him for some time.”
Much of Boehner’s focus during a Q&A portion of the event was on his effort to force Republicans to take up immigration reform, a task that another Bush White House would certainly make easier.
“I do think we are getting closer on the policy side, in terms of how to deal with [immigration],” Boehner said. “The problem we’ve got is the president has to demonstrate that we can trust him.”
Boehner also told the audience that he’s confident he can retain his position as Speaker.
“I’m running for re-election,” Boehner said. “I expect I will be speaker.”
Meanwhile, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg also praised Bush in a recent interview with POLITICO. The former mayor said that he counts both potential candidates as close friends.
“Jeb’s on the board of the [Bloomberg] Foundation,” Bloomberg said. “I think he did a very good job on education in Florida. He’s good on education. He’s good on immigration, and he’s had the courage to stand up.”
He added: “I have no idea whether she’s going to run or he’ll run. … If the public had the choice between those two, I think there’s two quality people. And they’re very different … they just have very different views of what government is … [and] criticizing Jeb for some things is just as unfair as criticizing Hillary for some of these things.”

Bush 1 was good, Bush 2 was an A-hole. Even though I've had enough of the Bushes, I think Jeb would be the best of them.

No more Bush's!!! If you want illegals to become automatic citizens, vote for Bush! If you like America, vote for anyone else, but not another Clinton either.

I wasn't that fond of bush 1 but I'll say he understood the job better than anyone since Regan. He was a professional.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

It still comes down to the lesser of two "evils"... which will do you the least harm. If you don't vote, you allow others to pick your leaders. That's one of the reasons we have the A-Hole we have now for a second term after he did so well the first 4 years!

Don't be a part of the PROBLEM by not voting. A "no vote" is a vote for the other side.

Too many conservatives stayed home while the Dems and Libs bussed people to the polls repeatedly... and enlisted the rolls of the deceased.

If you sit out the vote, you have no right to complain about the results being for the worse.

I didn't like Jeb's remarks about illegal immigration being an "act of love", nor his support of common core.

GW was a great governor... voted for him twice... and then for president twice. He was probably the best wartime president we could have had. He was and is a great Commander-in-Chief, but some of his political decisions weren't the best choices, unfortunately, he had to struggle with a Democratic Congress and tried to be "bipartisan" too many times. Bipartisan means go along with the Libs and Democrats, something the Dems don't worry about when they have both houses of Congress and the presidency under their control... then it's bend over and smile, 'cause here it comes! They will lie, cheat, and steal to get what they want... and they have no shame about their dirty tricks.

Bill Clinton got all the bush this country needs.

But we could start a new slogan - If you recall the old Busch beer ads...

"Head for the mountains, if Bush is elected!"

Both of them are a nightmare................and if Bush ends up being the nominee, Clinton will win..................................just the name Bush, riles many liberals, and some conservatives. I believe that if the Republicans could find someone who can relate to the people, he would be a shoe in, no matter his credentials. It can't be Bush..................

If the Republicans could find someone who can relate to the people, he'd be force out of the race with a phony scandal, called a racist, bigot, homophobe, or just "stupid" like Sarah Palin.

                We are so doomed.

The problem is the Republicans like myself don't want to relate to the people now days who are the vast majority.

I liked both Bush's myself. Have to remember that unlike the current white house infestation, the played by the rules so the senate and house tied his hands when he tried to do anything good.
What we need is a guy with good intentions who will cheat like the current community organizer.

Ted Cruz or Rand Paul could debate Hitlary and give her a run for the money...Marco Rubio may be the best candidate overall to make a run for it though....I would be considered a religious right wing conservative and as much as it pains me to say this, the facts are that if the Rupublicans are ever going to win the White House again they are going to have to pull back from the Religious Right and towards the middle on issues such as abortion, immigration and gay rights....

There I said it and even though it leaves a really bad taste in my mouth I would rather it be that than to see and have to live with 8 years of the Hildabeast....Unfortunately I fear that even if the republicans do swing more moderate to try and reach the lefty looney bunch it may not be enough because our country has changed from the America I grew up in where right and wrong was pretty much a known thing and the people I grew up with and learned from LOVED America and Freedom and sadly that seems to not be the case any longer...We now live in a country that no matter what he does to prove he isn't qualified to be the butler to the President we still have idiots that worship their lord and savior Barack Hussein Obama and now Hillary Clinton....

The more I think about it and listen to a Socialist Obama and Clinton the more I believe it may be time to split America into two seperate and different countries because the gap between the left and the right has grown to the point that I dont think we will ever be able to repair it again....

I think to be fair we'll just give them New York and a couple surrounding states, everyone currently living in California has to move to those states.
We'll have to vet out Washington, Oregon and Arizona and Nevada since many from California have slipped out and tried to ruin us as well. Major undertaking but I think we can get it done.
Then major 100% border patrol between New York and the real world. And of course all foreign borders in a meaningful fashion.

I vote for a split. Then they can join an alliance with Cuba and Venezuela to all suffer together in mutual communistic bliss, economically cut off from us.

The only way I'll vote for Jeb Bush is if he runs against the democratic candidate, as the lesser of two evils. I won't sit home or vote for a third party candidate and hand the election to another Clinton.
