Government is at the heart of the problem, but not for the reasons that Ron Paul stated. Government established the welfare state and the entitlement mentality that told an eighteen year old that it was ok to steal from the haves and give to the have nots. Had Michael Brown not stolen the cigars in a strong arm robbery he'd be alive and well today. Apparently Ron Paul believes that we should make nice to the criminal element that riots, loots and burns. That's a page out of Obama's handbook. I missed that....can you direct me to the report or quote that illustrates that sentiment. I am not saying you are wrong; instead, I need to hear this because I hold the "Pauls" in very high regard and this is important to me to hear it directly.

yes! that's what happened to the former Pruitt-Igoe projects. after decades of failure it was realized the "vertical reservations", "high rise warehousing" didn't work. so they got everybody out and blew it up. now, just north of downtown, on the same sight, urban farmers have gardens growing and a bee sanctuary ( http://pruitt-igoebeesanctuary.com/). if the housing market ever comes back, maybe a developer will do something there.
