Thanks, I would agree that the media isn't helping the situation. Also after seeing the video of Mr. Brown from the store I could understand how a cop could be in fear for his life from that person. Obviously I don't know what happened between the cop and him. It is unfortunate that oportunistic folks are taking advantage of a bad situation, but that really isn't anything new.

Some folks take advantage from birth to the grave. Contrary to popular belief welfare and public assistance does nothing to help break this pattern, it only reinforces it which is exactly what our current national leaders want. It's a Democratic thing I think.

Cityus1, what you write confirms my hunch about Ferguson.

There's an article today saying that the town is 70% black, but only 6% of the black population voted in the last local elections. Do you feel that's accurate? If so, why do you think such low voter turnout happens? The article said the mayor ran unopposed.

I can't tell you why people don't vote, my family does though.....that's like me asking why the pd is 97% white.

In the city where I live, I see a lot of young men on the street dressed in red shoes, shorts, and hat, and white T-shirt. It is said to be gang colors.

                          Cityus1:
what % of the people of Furgeson are on public assistance? What are the socioeconomics of the place? I know you are not the mayor but perhaps you can give us an idea of what the economic environment is like there.

From what I have heard out of the "dozens" of people arrested only 4 had a Fergeson address. So where are the others from, and are they there just to stir up trouble, get "free stuff" or what?
