In my eyes the "history books" are nothing but propaganda that is being taught as fact to our youth. They either cover up or simply don't mention the truth.

Please elaborate on your statement....I agree that current Government education teaches very little American history to our children and rather uses the time to indoctrinate them to be good little radical left wing Socialists....When I was in school we learned about happened during WWII and how that generation saved the world...We learned about Viet Nam and why a winnable war turned into a political football kicked around by punk Commie followers of Jane Fonda...We were taught the real reason for the War Between the States and why slavery wasn't the entire purpose of that conflict...We learned about the Founding Fathers and the heros who fought for our freedom in the Revolutionary war and even the war of 1812 which was even more important than the first war with the Redcoats...IMHO Government public education today is a sham and a total waste of tax payer money ....I am interested hear what you have to say on the subject...Oh and welcome to Kahrtalk Jozimoto....

Ask a product of our public school system who Robert E. Lee is or Stonewall Jackson, and you'll get a blank stare. Ask them who Rosa Parks is, and you will get her whole life history. Asking about Thomas Paine, or John Hancock, or even Paul Revere will get the same blank stares. Ask about Martin Luther King, and again you can get a whole life history.
