Actually the governor is the most culpable for this whole mess. He could have stopped this all before it started.....but he chose to play to race.

Time for a Police Strike, no one shows up for duty, call in sick, whatever they can to not show up to work for about a week. when the shots rang out and the 2 cops went down, the observer should have given the coordinates of the muzzle flash to the guy running the .50 and smoked the would-be sniper and surrounding area. perhaps a .50 in combination with a grenade launcher? hey, I'm not in power here. military solutions to social problems never work in the long run anyway. oh well.

100' is only about 33 yards. Not really THAT far, and I doubt the shooter was aiming for those particular officers. It's not hard to shoot fish in a barrel, or cops working crowd control!
