  • Trump - Nationwide Concealed Carry and an End to Gun Bans

    Outstanding!

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/p...politics_pop_b

In a position paper published on his website Friday afternoon, Trump called for the elimination of gun and magazine bans, labeling them a "total failure."

"Law-abiding people should be allowed to own the firearm of their choice. The government has no business dictating what types of firearms good, honest people are allowed to own," Trump wrote.

If he means it I like him. If he has a CC permit then he should understand why we have one. He can also be educated on the facts if need be.

If he thinks Obamas way was stupid, and he means what he says, he's better than a few of the other Republicans out there.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Sorry, but I recall all the BS that Obama espoused during his first campaign. Trump has lied several times, even during the debate Wed night (denied trying to get casinos into Florida) and many many more. I fall back on the cold snake crossing the road convincing the little girl to warm it up under her coat before it bit her. When asked why, it replied "you knew what I was when you picked me up."

Guess I see it the same way. I am trying hard to like and trust him but something keeps getting in the way. Maybe he looks a little too good to by true? Maybe it is a little deja vu? I remember all the talk and promises made by a certain individual in 2008. Then the smoke cleared--------. No matter what he promises, he is going to run into the old establishment in Washington in the end. Anyone notice how the Dems haven't complained about loosing the majorities in the House and Senate? Mainly because with Boehner and McConnell at the helm, they didn't. Good luck.

Sorry I do not want a nationwide permit if it means the rules for getting it get changed to suit the politicians in another state. I like going down applying fore the permit, passing the check and getting my permit issued. I am not interested in a govt mandated safety class that teaches everything but safety nor am I interested in paying the fee for that class at upwards to $100 +.

Now if what he means is my state gets to keep the same rules but my permit is then recognized everywhere I can dig it BUT that will never fly in those states which ask for more. Never get thru congress. It didn't work that way with drivers permits either.

Be patient, if there's ever a crack that reveals the inner Trump, we'll see it. Doubters and skeptics strengthen a movement. I'm cautiously supprtive, but also catiously support a few others.

I trust Trump about as far as I can throw Trump Towers.

I hope the GOP doesn't back him as their nominee and I hate to say it but his promises sound too much like BOs spiel when he was campaigning. His oratory hits all the right buttons but lacks depth on how he's going to do it. Deja vu? "Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me!"

Comparing him to BO though is not applicable. BO never built, created or managed anything substantial prior to being elected.

This is like a job interview: You don't ask candidates for a job what they think or what they believe. You ask them what they have actually done, actually accomplished. Have them show you concrete examples of how they have succeeded.

I didn't compare on jobs accomplished. I compared speeches given. I am not against Trump. Just cautious. As I said, it is good stuff when a tyrant is on your side. What if he changes horses? Again.

Thats a good way to be for us. We're in serious times and we need someone that is pro 1st, 2nd, and 4th amendment and loves the USA.
And someone that can beat the Hildabeast by getting democratic votes from her.

Campaign promises don't mean squat. They will say whatever they think will get them elected. How many have been kept over the years? Seems like there is always something to prevent them from being fulfilled. I don't think Obama kept ANY of his campaign promises, certainly not the biggest ones, like the transparent administration, and that all bills will be one the internet for public review before they are voted on or signed or whatever the promise was. Both Hillary and Jeb will make promises they have no idea of keeping. As for Trump, who knows. I think he will at least try to implement what he can. Also, I expect Obama to issue a full pardon to Hillary, Holder, and his other cronies for all crimes committed in the past, before he leaves office. IF he leaves office.

The thing that prevents most promises from being fulfilled in the congress and the senate. Ovomit has probably done the best of any in that respect, when they say no, he just does it anyway. If only his brain and heart were in the right place, namely our side we'd be doing well.

That's why I'm withdrawing from the race. Even the best intentions and plans can't get by the good ole boys and girls on the take as career politicians.

That and they wouldn't let me come to any of the debates. Probably afraid I reckon.

Just remember the CA Governator Schwartznager and how he was going to deal with the girly-man state congress. When you push somebody they will push back. If you own the company no problem, but you are hired help it's a tough way to do business. The only way Trump could do business is to use Executive Orders which are very effective and lots of vetos, but he better have enough senate votes to save the veto. I cannot see him blustering foreign leaders and can picture him waving the nuclear football in their face. If he were elected I hope he closes off America and tells the rest of the world to take a hike as he is as diplomatic as an anvil.
