I've been to his website. All that I can say is promises, promises. He doesn't go into any great detail as to how he would accomplish any of his goals nor does he discuss how he would handle unintended consequences of his actions. Trump is from the shallow end of the pool. No military experience, no foreign relations experience and no governmental experience. My priority is actually accomplishing things. Just being a conservative isn't enough, you have to have the leadership and charisma to bring Congress and the people along for the ride.

As my FIL stated about being a good supervisor, "you have to be an understanding a-hole, not afraid to piss people off and willing to negotiate to get things done as long as the end result is mostly in your favor" I pretty much have to agree with that. Running a government is usually about making deals. Your side agrees to spending cuts if our side agrees to tax increases (Reagan & Tip O'Neill, a deal that failed). There has to be something in it for both sides. A pure liberal like Oturd will never compromise. A pure conservative shouldn't compromise, because we have nothing left to compromise with. We've already given up nearly everything, and that's why we're teetering on the edge of disaster now.

Is it possible that we are beyond a point where ideology matters? If you're on the sinking Titanic, do you care whether the rescue ship's captain is a liberal or a conservative? Let's save the passengers first (and not load the ship down with more passengers), then we will have the luxury of ideology. No matter how much I agree with Cruz on issues, I'm not convinced President Cruz can un-sink the Titanic, when most of the crew wants to make the gash in the hull even larger.

I suppose negotiating with foreign corporations doesn't count for any foreign experience? And to run as many companies as Trump has, he's certainly had plenty of experience dealing with the Government.

Just because Cruz might be the top conservative, doesn't mean he would be the best choice. But If conservatism is your only qualification, then you got your man. I want the guy that can best solve the problems this country faces, be he moderate, or a conservative, just not another libtard, and not another congressman or governor looking for a promotion.

I watched a video of a Trump speech in South Carolina and really liked what he had to say, and how he said it. Trump has charisma, and exudes confidence and leadership. Then I watched a speech by Cruz, totally different, taking himself so serious, all the charisma of a 2x4. Exudes no confidence, or leadership. Always seems like he's talking down to us, like he is something special, and we are a bunch of idiots. Looks and acts like any other stuffed suit politician seeking a promotion. No wonder people are flocking to Trump. Trump knows how to negotiate, and get what he wants. His years of experience as a businessman, is going to do more to help the economy than Cruz's experience as a Senator. His experience dealing with foreign corporations will help when dealing with foreign leaders, something Cruz has no experience in.

Trump knows how to negotiate real estate deals and nothing more. And what has he said that turns you on, that he'll make America great again? America is still the greatest nation on the face of the earth. You want charisma? Obama had charisma. Trump has run four of his business ventures into bankruptcy. Quite frankly what I'm looking for is honesty, morality, and conservatism in a candidate. Trump has nome of those qualities. And for those of you who have bought into the liberal media bullshit that Bushes were bad for the country, both Bushes were 100 times better than Clinton or Obama. Trump tried to screw an elderly woman out of her home, so that he could have a place to park his limos. He'll stick it to you just as quickly.
