Any thoughts on Paul Ryan NOT willing to support/endorse Trump?

I just got done sending him an email via the above link. Here's what I sent.
Dear Mr. Speaker
I am concerned about the direction that the Republican Party is taking in the Presidential Election. I was unsure who to address my concerns to, so I thought I'd start with you.
First off, I am not a Donald Trump supporter. I admire his business acumen and also how he handles the media, however. He has my respect because he is playing "the game" and is garnering a grassroots support of people that are fed up with the status quo.
With respect to your time, my intent is to keep this correspondence short. Please reconsider the effect that not embracing Trump will have on the Republican Party in the eyes of the American populace. The party has the reputation of being the stodgy old white guy party. Yes, I recognize that you're younger than Iam, but that still is the general perception. Although the Party may survive this fracturing, it will be turning people away in droves. The American Republican voters are telling the Party leadership what we want. By disenfranchising these voters, the Party will shrink and cease to be relevant.
Donald Trump is bringing different voters to the polls, and they are anxious for change. We were promised "hope and change" with the last administration, and there is a groundswell of people that either didn't see the change or the change worked against them.
Please let me know who I should contact to open a discourse regarding this issue. I believe it is critical to the Republican Party to unite the voters that are asking for Donald Trump, not to alienate them.
Thank you very much for your time.Last edited by Ken L; 05-06-2016, 04:54 PM. Reason: correct spacing that cut/paste decided I wanted!

The more people go against him, like Paul Ryan, the more popular he gets, so keep it up. Kudos to Dick Chaney for coming out and supporting Trump. Lindsay Graham also came out and said he would not support him. I think he's jealous and a poor loser, he was one of the first candidates to drop out.Last edited by DanTana; 05-06-2016, 07:02 PM.

Paul Ryan is non-consequential to the 2016 Presidential election. My (after)thoughts on Paul Ryan are that he can kiss my ___ for all I care. He's a gnat gnawing for sustenance on the fetid carcass of a dying Establishment Order.
Donald J. Trump for President 2016!

I tried to avoid the obvious in my post about Lindsay Graham, but yes, that Lindsay Graham.
However, if you listen to Paul Ryans comments, he said "I'm not ready" to back him, which doesn't discount the fact he may later. Although to me, Paul Ryan has been a disappointment, I expected some fight against Obama on the budget and to de-fund Obama care and hopefully, the EPA. Instead he helps pass a spending bill to push us to 21 trillion dollar deficit. So, really who cares if he endorses Trump? I don't.Last edited by DanTana; 05-06-2016, 08:29 PM.

I have two schools of thought on the subject
#1 He is an extremely sore loser after a crushing defeat to Barack Obama won he ran on the ticket with Schitt Romney.
#2 As speaker of the house, has been pounded by the American, public all over the country about his "Bending Over" for Barack's spending policy. The fact that he did not challenge a single line item in the Omnibus spending bill showed the Democrats and the American people what a weakling he is. Hence trying so show he's a hard stance person.
This bravado of him not "ready" to "endorse" Trump, is a way of showing that he's not the pussay that he really is. However under the "guise of unity" he will once again, bend over.
The funniest part is that it was Barry Soetoro that supposedly was doing all that "bending over" in gay bathhouses in Chicago. He must have taught Paul Ryan a few things!

Guys..... jeeze, the elephants standing in the living room again!
The reason ANY republican politician wont support Trump is one reason, and one reason only.
----> They ain't gettin' nuthin' out of doing so.
And so I postulate that Speaker Ryan is holding out, from his verbiage, for some sort of "agreement in kind", even if Trump does not become president, and certainly a better one if Trump is succesful.

If not, no wall, no repeal of Obamacare, no nothing.
And if the dems take control of Congress...as predicted,
all Trump will have is Executive Order....and we know how much we hate it when presidents use Executive Order don't we.

Originally posted by Redstate View PostTrump will win. As far as EO is concerned, I am all for EO's that require a federal agency to enforce laws, such as the ones already on the books concerning immigration. That is what executive orders are for.
In fact, Trump's mouth is going to take the republican party so far down the toilet that republicans will likely lose control of congress.
The republican party is toast....and it will be Trump's doing.
