I've delt with Palmetto state armory, CTD if you buy in big bulk (shipping is Fedex which is why it cost more), Or if you catch a DEEP Discount with free shipping at Cabelas then they are good. Speaking of ammo deals... I was looking for some bulk .380 acp since I've been blowing off a lot testing my wife's new P380. I just ordered 2K rounds of S&B 92-gr FMJ from SGAmmo.com at $225 each a case of 1000 and $25 shipping... and I threw in the insurance for full value for $4.50, bringing the whole order up to $479.50 delivered to my door. I remember about three or four years ago when 7.62x39 got really scarce for a while, CTD did some serious price gouging. Got them in hot water in several gun forums. After that, I decided they could freeze in the dark. I resolved never to buy from them again, no matter what.
Some googling brought up some screen captures that folks made at the time, here, and here.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Palmetto State Armory and Lucky Gunner. Don't forget that Gander Mountain has free shipping from their website, so Gander can occasionally beat other "discount" sellers that pump up their profits with shipping charges.Comment
