  • OWB holster recommendation.

I need a OWB holster for my MK9. I currently have a Galco King-Tuk, but need something quicker to put on/take off. I want something that holds the grip up against my body and not moving around. I also need it to be secure for wear while hiking/fishing etc.

Currently considering the KT Gunfighter. Anything else I should look at? Kydex/leather doesn't matter to me.

    Thanks!

I highly recommend this holster great fit for gun & nice tight fit to body. All holsters are custom made to order.

+1 except I think the regular model 1 pancake is just as good for less $$. I've been looking for one similar locally with no luck and I'm ready to pull the trigger on this one any moment now. Winthrop makes one that I like and they are near me and attend some local gun shows. I've just missed them the past couple of months. I've been carrying my MK9 IWB through the winter and I'd rather OWB. By the time I get the right OWB holster it will be time for summer IWB carry... go figure.

Snap ons and paddles are quick and work well but all of use have tried different brand to find whats best for us. You have to do the same.

This might do you well made for a kahr. Ask

I've become a huge fan of Tagua gunleather holsters. They are nice, thick leather, and at a ridiculously good price. I just picked up the belt slide holster for my P9. I have one that I've used to carry a Springfield XD .45 full size under a loose shirt. The downside is the belt goes through, so the belt has to come on/off to put it on and take it off. But I have not found a more comfortable, concealable, and economical OWB holster.

I really like the Kydex rigs that ArmedCivilian556 on YouTube is making. The way he makes them they snug up nice and tight. I am in the process of switching carry guns and when I decide on a new one I plan to have AC build me another rig for my EDC.

Thanks for the replies. I will look thru the recommended holsters. I am OK with having to remove my belt partially to put it on, that is still considerably easier than putting my King-Tuk on.

I am very pleased with Crown Holsters, kydex, OWB. As a lefty I always get the wings and loops which allows for conversion to IWB is desired and, more importantly, NOT having to take off the belt.
Have them for CW9, P380 and Ruger LCR38, all with CT lasers. Great workmans and warranty, reasonable price and turnaround. crownholsters.com is the URL.

Just received an OWB kydex from Panther Concealment; it is excellent workmanship and the weapon retention is superb. Rides high and slightly away from the body so easy to draw but still concealable at least in the cooler/colder months. Check them out as they have a fairly quick turnaround-less than 2 weeks from order to receipt.

I second Crown Holsters. I have the Royal Modular Holster for my G26. Well made, good retention, holds it high and tight to the body.
