Well I was pleasantly surprised when I got home today and my new Nelson holster was waiting for me.

First of all, the turnaround time was pretty awesome. Shy of 2 weeks from ordering to the holster being at my door. For a custom fit holster that is impressive. The holster itself seems very well made, and the fit and coverage is perfect for my MK9. It feels great on my hip and I can't wait to wear it and break it in.

Agree. I have an OWB Nelson for my Ruger SR9. Very helpful, fast turn around, and was helpful in being sure I got what I wanted/needed.

My new OWB holster made by Malabar Gun leather. It rides high and close to the body. I love the flat back for comfort. I picked it up new on EBay for half the price!

I know the OP already got a beautiful Nelson holster but I just wanted to share something I almost forgot about myself. Quite awhile ago I bought a Galco Yaqui slide to be sort of a universal holster. I'll admit I was thinking about using it for larger 1911's. But today I got it out and adjusted it for my MK9 and started wearing it. It's really, really comfortable. Not as close to the body as I would like but works well under heavier clothes. The darn thing was stashed away in a box in my gun cabinet. This will work for both my MK9 and K40 as well as the bigger pistols until I get around to buying the right pancake holsters. Then again, maybe I won't need to. I'll try the Yaqui out for awhile. Here's a picture I got off the interweb:

Recently bought a CW9. I've been loking for an OWB holster. Lots of good one out there. After reading a lot of comments, I chose a DeSantis Mini Slide. Good holster - works well.
One question - An instruction sheet with the holster says that using a leather conditioner or cleaner voids the warranty. If its really leather, why not condition it???

One of the benefits of model specific "molded" holsters is better retention of the firearm. Many leather conditioners can soften the leather which usually leads to less retention. Conditioners/cleaners can also affect the finish on some smooth leathers.
