    Greg,
I love my G26, definitely won't be getting rid of that ever! The 43 is just a lot thinner for me so it feels comfortable inside my waist band. Light too. I'll post a couple pics up soon. Already stippled it up like I do all my Glocks

Wow...that's a shame. Congrats on the new Glock, though. Like I always joke with my LGS, all roads seem to lead to Glock. I LOVE drama-free guns, and have been eyeing the 43 for a while. My 26 is my duty carry pistol, and when I retire (very soon) I'll probably swap it out for a 27, along with a 26 barrel so I can shoot either the 40 cal or 9mm, depending on my mood.

Much as I love Kahr, I kinda look at them like some older gen sports cars. When they work they are bliss, but they can also drive you insane with finicky machinery and frequent repairs.

I tried a G43, and could not justify it in light of my Kahr P9 Covert. My P9 Covert used to be my EDC a few years ago and was worthy of same being malfunction free. However, my EDC is a G26, and has been for years, although I will occasionally carry the G19. Never had any kind of malfunction in any of my Glocks.

          bosco,
It certainly seems like when the kahrs run they are good, but when they don't.....THEY DON'T! Good plan on the 40 with the 9mm conversion. I've always been tempted to do the same.

          Redstate,
I carry my G19 in winter months sometimes. Sometimes I even carry it in the summer, a good holster goes a long way. My 26 got carried way more than the 19 though and I figured I'd go super small with the mk9 for really discreet carry. I just needed it to actually work as a firearm should. Hope they fix it this time. The 43 is great and super compact, much smaller than the 26 when actually in my hands or on my person so that will take the role of the mk9. Glocks just work and are stupid simple. I'm stupid, so I like it simple.

Genin, although I carry Glock, I still trust my life to my MK9, K9, and P9 Covert because they are all malfunction free. However, I like the higher capacity of my G26 in such a small package. Thickness of the pistol in my IWB holster does not create an issue for me.

Nevertheless, once I get over my desire for higher capacity. I do always carry a spare mag for reasons other than just extra capacity, such as if I accidently drop a mag or have some sort of malfunction. I may start carrying my MK. Something about all steel pistols. I did in the past EDC my P9 covert that has the same capacity as the MK.

              Red,
I really do need to start carrying an extra mag. I admit that I often don't and that's not good.

Sure would like to see your stipple job on that 43. You do such nice work....

How's the trigger? Mine had a beastly 7+ pound pull when I got it. A 25 cent trigger job and a Ghost Edge connector brought it down to 3.8 pounds. Almost too light for my tastes, but man does that thing shoot great!

Oddly enough, I just can't pocket carry the G43. Just a hair too big for me. Maybe this will be the thing that brings your MK back in favor for you. For me, it kinda compares to my high school days. It was always more fun to date the really hot looking girls even though the more homely ones were always willing.....

Thank you Ed! My trigger is a heavy 6.5lbs. Much more than the 5.5lbs of my G26 and 5lbs of my G19, but not too bad. Hahahaha on the highschool analogy.

                      Red,
Thank you. I love how it came out as well. I didn't make it very aggressive. It's like a mild sandpaper (the use of 600 then 1500 grit sandpaper to knock off loose ends and high points when completed helps).

Well I'm back from Gunnery but no notices from Kahr yet. Hopefully I'll hear something this week.

Heyooooooooo! Well I had a box waiting for me when I got home. The new barrel looks great and they did throw in an extra mag for me! Will be able to test shoot it soon and will report back if all is well in the world! Wish me luck!!!!
