On my side of the bed I have my Sig 226, spare mag, flashlight, and cell phone, and on the floor under the bedside table I have the Kahr pm9 with a spare mag.
On my Husbands side he rotates his bedside handgun and always has a moss burg 500.

Since it's just the two of us in the house we keep the bedroom door open and just above the door (outside of the bedroom) pointing down the hall we have a very bright motion detector light. We like it when our TARGET is lit up like a Christmas tree.

That's a good idea. Never thought of one IN the house like that.

I keep the days carry gun, a good led flashlight, my two reloads, and a pair of cell phones (one for land line like use only). My wife has her CW45, and a reload. Then I get into my closet which is actually closer to the wife's side of the bed. If I'm still shooting when I get to that, standby, the unloading process will take some time. If they are still there when I need to start reloading magazines, my ass is running, and fast, even though I have the ability to load magazines several more times. I keep all my pistols loaded, and the majority of my long guns right now. When I decide not to keep the long guns loaded again, I'll still have the pump shotgun loaded, and the pistols.

I have an AR "firearm" in a bracket. Essentially a pistol length AR (taking advantage of the ATFs various rulings on buffer tube wraps, etc. to make it more comfortable to shoot). Mags are loaded with V-Max tipped ammo. Pistol ready to hand off to the Mrs. if need be. Either my carry Kahr or a Glock.

I'm usually napping in my TV recliner so I have my trusty K9 with Night Sights(re-lamped 2010), and CTLaser Grips, loaded with 8+1 Speer 124-gr +P Gold Dots(or Double Tap +P with 124-gr Gold Dots) and two 8-round extended mags for reloads... along with a tactical light.

IF I'm in bed, I have my XD45 Tactical (5" barrel) with Trijicon HD NS, loaded with 13+1 230-gr Speer Gold Dots and a 13-round reload, along with a tactical light. Wifey has her H&R 929 9-shot revolver with 9 Stingers in it. And, next to my side of the bed is the Charles Daly SA Tactical 12-ga with 5 rounds of 00 in the mag, chamber empty, safety off... just got to pull the bolt back and let it go. There's a 30-round bandoleer of 00 Buck nearby and some really high powered slugs as well.

I have night lights throughout my house except in the master bedroom. These are mostly for the cat to navigate at night, but they work well for me too. If I'm in the bedroom or at the door into the hall, I'm not illuminated, but anyone else in the house will be.

Hey! I have night lights all over the house... and I have those motion-activated LED lights that come on as well... then there are the "Night LIGHTS" on the pistols that really show up in the dark, too.

I want to have at least one gun within reach wherever I'm at... and I usually have my P380 on as well. Speaking of which... I need to go shave and then get to the range with Wifey's new P380. She'll be home from work before I return as it is!

Wow sounds like most of you are ready for the Zombie hordes right there in your bedroom. I have a Mossy 500 12 ga loaded with 8 rounds(yes one in the chamber) of 00 easily accessible from the bed...if I need more than that I have not done my job properly and should turn tail and run. However I will grab my cm9 on the way out!
