The chop stick is inserted from the top through the ejection port and into the magazine well. Our friend had degenerative nerve disease. If he could do it you can do it. It's a piece of cake. Enjoy your new gun. Let us know if you run into any other problems.
          Popsicle sticks work as well:

I think this is very good idea but that still begs the question, should it be that difficult? Kahr should rethink this in view of other manufacturers that do it a whole lot better

The recoil spring is strong out of necessity. These guns are very small and light weight. The slide doesn't have the mass of a larger gun. If you can't handle it, sell it and buy something else.

I noticed that after I put a couple hundred rounds through my CM9 the slide stop doesn't take as much force to remove. I agree that it takes some extra oomph to hold the slide back to the witness mark. But, I found that if I pull the slide back to the witness mark I can start the slide stop lever moving by pressing the right side of it against the edge of my workbench (wood workbench). Once it starts out I can get it out without a problem.

Of all the guns I've ever owned the CW380 is definitely the least desirable to field strip and reassemble. The guide rod double spring that is not enclosed is a pain to put back together. Glock and S&W have them beat hands down for field stripping/reassembly.

Another way to start the slide stop out is to use a small screwdriver inserted under the slide stop on the left side, align the witness marks and twist the screwdriver to get it started; just pull it out from there.

I think your making a mountain out of a mole hill. You've been offered a half dozen suggestions on how to make it easier. You are being more difficult than field stripping the gun is. If you can't handle it buy a revolver.

Thanks for the constructive help. I don't appreciate the mean spirited comments. I was simply stating fact and wanted advice. I was not whining. I've been shorting for a long time and have never run into such a difficult take down process (screw drivers/ jigs--a you kidding me).
