If you aren't whining I'd hate to see you when you are. You don't have to apply any any of our suggestions to field strip the gun. We only offered them to try to make your job easier. Kahr Arms even provides a video to show you how to disassemble and reassemble the gun. Any child can do it. It has one of the easiest field strip procedures of any gun manufactured. If you think that the Kahr take down procedure is difficult I'd like to see how you handle a 1911 or a Luger. Grow a pair.

Hey all, I stand before you a humbled man. I owe you all an apology. As is often the case, I didn't read the take down process as carefully as I should have . I finally really looked at it and was able to take down the CW 45 with no problem. I fully deserved to be taken to the woodshed over this whole thread. I apologize to you all and hope to start afresh.

Folks were making those suggestions ("screwdrivers/jigs") because you stated: "I’m 70 years old and haven’t got the strength to hold that slide back. Anyone have similar problems; Any help would be welcomed."
Removing the slide really doesn't require any tools or is it, IMO, that difficult.
In example, here's my CW45 (BTW: my slide stop pin is shortened, so there even less of it available to push out):

        Regards,
        Greg

I'm easy bezoar, so all is forgiven. Jocko ain't all that easy and he may send you a horse head yet, but that's just Jocko. All of us are here to help. Make it easy on yourself. Welcome aboard. BTW, I missed the part about you being 70. I'm just a young punk of 67 years. I should be more respectful of my elders. If you've made it to seventy you must have a pair.

When I got my mk9 3 years ago I did not read the manual. The first time I field stripped it I had some real sore fingers. My mk9 does not have the take down mark on the slide so I thought take down position was slide lock position. I pulled the slide back past lock (only goes back a little more) & was able to get the slide stop out after much difficulty & thought to myself this can't be right. I then got the instructions out & read them. After that take down is a snap & I have learned that precocking the striker by racking the slide part way takes pressure of of the slide for easier take down & assembly.

I use half of a tapered flat clothes pin.
