I had one of the CW45s with the short frame rail issue which required a frame replacement. In dealing with that issue, Kahr paid for the shipping to and from the factory.
Now the trigger bar is broken. The tab at the rear of the trigger bar which contacts and actuates the cocking cam broke off. Yes, it's a bummer but stuff happens. Things break when you use them. I called Kahr monday morning and they gave me an RA#. I asked about shipping, and the rep said Kahr only covers return shipping. Sure enough, nothing in the Kahr warranty statement says anything about free shipping.
My question is: why would Kahr cover shipping for one warranty related issue but not another? When the frame was bad, I dealt with the guy with the non-American accent (Ian?). This time with the trigger problem I spoke with a different guy. Is it just the prerogative of the rep? Should I have pushed the issue since shipping is not cheap?
I just don't understand the inconsistent service. Anyone have insight?
