ain't that the truth! I'd rather take my chances by THROWING those at a thug.
Based on personal experiences, I'd say that the recoil from my CW9, PM9 AND CW45 are very mild. I LOOOVE the thud that the CW45 delivers.

But, the p9 is lightweight, and the recoil was more than i was expecting. Still, it's only a 9mm and i'm used to 40s&w. I don't think i'd call any 9mm a "monster," but that's just me. Try one of the thicker grip sleeves (rather than just bicycle inner tube).
      port it!!
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

My P9 isn't bothering me as it is; it's just more recoil than I was expecting based on shooting the K9.

But, I read the recent porting thread and my takeaway was that porting didn't really make all that much of a difference. Did I come to the wrong conclusion?

I don't see that redterror has responded or even been back. I think the recoil thing was a hoax. The PM9 has hardly any recoil , and the CW9 is bigger (P9 size). My LCP 380 snaps more than the PM9. :-)

            ur sure did:

            Magnaport.com read up in it..

the P9 is actually a very nice gun, but one shouldnot compare recoil of it to the K9. there is certainly a difference and weight is one factor for sure..

I think he was just an inexperienced shooter. Certainly a small, light gun like a CW9 will have more recoil than larger ones. It's all relative.

Yup, he hasn't logged in since he made his first and only post.

He's got 3 pages of good stuff to read if he ever returns.

When I first got my SP101 357 I shot 38+p and after 20 rounds my finger started bleeding and I was all over the target like a shotgun blast. My hand was num for 2 hours. After 500 rounds I can shoot a whole box comfortably and last outing I put 25 out of 25 in the 3" cirlce from 25FT. pulling DA as fast as I could get back to POA. I cant wait to shoot MY new CW9 tomorrow. I know I will need practice and PATIENCE!!!:33:

                      troll???? did someone say troll????

hhmmmm.... tonight my wife made that "Milkyway Cake" I read about either here or on one of the other gun forums I frequent, and it was sooooo goood!

Now I have to search every darned thread I've read in the last 3 days on half a dozen forums to find who posted that recipe.

There was absolutely NO felt recoil from the bunt pan

I alternate carry between a SP101 and CW9 myself. The SP101 gets field duty and the CW9 gets pleasure duty. The thing that I have been searching for for years is a combination of similar feeling triggers in revo and semi. So far, this is the best I've run across in many attempts. I love my 3" SP101 .357 mag and my CW9 .... so much I started reloading .357 as of today. Still have all my fingers and a perfectly functional SP101

Me too. Got the 3" SP101 before the CW9 and knew that I'd have to start reloading as much as I like to fire the SP101. That was last year in April/May. Then went and found that the CW9 has nearly the same trigger feel in DA. So now I'm reloading for both!

pretty amazing match aren't they. After I picked up my SP101 last fall the new gun fever just almost died, partly due to economy, but I think mostly due to the fact that one of the great mysteries of life had been solved. I've spent at least the last 5 years searching for similar trigger feel and manual of arms in pistol and revo.... I believe we have a winner

Yes, they are a good match for trigger pull and overall barrel length/sight radius. I really debated about getting the CW9 when I was looking to replace my P3AT with something bigger (9 mm since I also have a nice CZ SP01 Phantom for "home and range"). Looked at a whole bunch of 9 mm compacts. After handling the CW9 and dry firing it at the LGS (good guys there and I did use snap caps) knew that the CW9 was THE replacement.

I will keep the CW9, but I'll darned sure be looking to pick up a CM9. That would be my replacement for my previous P3AT. When .380acp ammo was so scarce a couple of years ago, my P3AT went in on a trade for the CW9. Hated giving up the carry size of the P3AT, but certainly didn't mind not paying extortion fees for the less than favorable .380 ammo.
