Another question and please forgive me if it is stoooopid one at that.
Taking apart the mags 6 round and 7 round by the way... (thought it shipped with 2x 6 rounders)...
The 6 round mag spring is bent so that only 1 end can fit into the follower...
The 7 rounder can fit either way.

So the dumb Q is that I read to make sure they are in the right way, but I have not been able to see pics or detailed instruction as to what is this "right" way.

back to slide racking...

I gave it a bath in Gunzilla (my CLP of choice) .. I mean hosed it down...

Then back to rackin and dry firing...

I'm pretty sure if you place the follower on the spring so that the angles match up, you're good to go. At least that's how I do it on the 7rnd Mag I have. Then put both parts into the shell, then the base, etc.

PLEASE post a range report. I was looking at that same site last night (at the black one.) I got the new gun itch I am trying to ignore. This could replace my LCP, well that's my excuse anyway. Just got the wifey a new pistol and she put her first 200 rounds through it (she liked it by the way) so I need to save up for my next purchase.

I'll tell ya, I'm way impressed with the Tungsten Nitride "Diamond Like Coating" on the black PM45 I've got. Wears very well. You may get some little wear on sharp edges (edge of slide stop, corners at the front of slide... that sort of thing). Cant complain after days and days and nights... of extended front jeans pocket carry.

Your choice, just know there's no need to "fear" the black wearing too badly (and if it eventually does, just Gun-Kote it!)

I would rather have an older p238 that only needs a newer recoil spring installed to make it reliable than all the puzzling issues that have been associated with the p380 for how many years now? What is the time frame to finally declare that a gun just isn't going to work.

They sell them with a 6 and 7 round mag now? :31: That's the reason why I am not interested in the PM9.

Yeah.... that kinda bummed me out and I will call Kahr tomorrow to see if I can swap the 7 for another 6 rounder....

I also have another 6 rounder coming in the mail ...

Range can't be visited till Friday...

Have 100 WWB and 50 Federal Champion set to go for first range session...
I know I am anticipating issues with the Federal as I know in 9mm it is weak so assume it is a bit weak in 380.

after the 500-600 mark on racking with many of those being with an empty mag to test last round hold open.... I started to have empty mag hold open issues...

a quick snug of the torx screw fixed that right up again...

I must have close to 800 racks of the slide at this time and my fingers are darn near bleeding at this point !!! but she is loosening up ... a bit

Will keep up the racking .... non Cholrinated brake cleaning .... Gunzilla hosing ..... and racking again tomorrow ......

Then rest hands and give the range report Friday afternoon .....
