Concerns ??? or no big deal

    Check out the pictures.
I am at about 600 slide racks... multiple tear down and re assemblies ... both mag followers had to be sanded down to keep from hitting mag disconnect button...

Cleaned it out again today with another lube and noticed 2 things.
I have sent these into Kahr for their opinion but wanted to ask here as well since I want to shoot it tomorrow and not sure Kahr Service will email back by then.

    1) There looks to be some metal that looks like it is rolled up under the slide which in turn is causing some premature rub marks on the barrel.
    2) The right side poly 'nub' seems to have quite a bit of wear already and some pieces coming off.

I seem to remember seeing both of these issues, just having trouble searching on the correct words.

Thoughts before I go ... just shoot the thing ? LoL

got the reply email already from Kahr
they say 100% normal and to go shoot it ...
The rolled material on the slide bugs me and I may take some 1000 grit paper to it but sounds like I am good.

I'm hoping you have an excellent range trip and give me an excuse to get one. Don't worry at all about any of the polymer. 100% normal. The metal I cant see real well but if It's smooth to the touch I'd just shoot it and it will all smooth out.

Man... I want a black one really bad just because. I can't figure out a reason to get it other than that.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

OK.. back from the range just now...

First of all I know I broke ALL the rules ...
Blew through the entire 200 round in 1 session with no stop to clean in between...

The good... I had 1 nose dive in the entire session.
The not so good... I had a total of 18 premature lock backs
These were scattered throughout the same session and throughout all the 3 brands of ammo.
used WWB... Federal Champion .. and Remington (all FMJ of course)...

so.. happy all in all that I caught the mag catch and pretty much eliminated the nose dive out of the box....

Now this is my first very small pistol so I can't 100% tell if it is or was my grip so I can't eliminate human error as yet.

The whole goal was get down to the range and work it out.. never even set up a target...

Will clean her up (NASTY Dirty)... lube her up... and plan to hit it again tomorrow morning and take much more time making sure grip is not an issue.

Overall quite impressed with the lack of recoil on this guy....

The little bit of rolled metal on the slide seems to have smoothed itself out also....

More after next workout with it....

          Last note.....
I was shipped 1 6 and 1 7 round mag ... plan to send the 7 back and ask for a 6 which they said they would do...
          But...
The very good sign for this gun is that the first 4 mags .. 6 rounder... 7 rounder... 6 rounder... 7 rounder... were 100% flawless before the premature slide locks started here and there

something I just remembered is that when I was prepping per tech forum I noticed that the ammo is VERY close touching the slide stop .... I mean very close but not touching... wonder if a new one of those may be in order ??

if it ain't touching ur OK, not alot of room kthere so don't expect to slip a paper clip between the gap. it ain't gonna happen..

horsehoes and hand grenades, now there is where close counts.

                Thanks much.
I would say it is closer to "a piece of notebook paper" close...

yes I kinda new that, right now if all is well leave it alone. The defense ammo u use must clear ad u can test that out very easy without even shooting it. In the kahr tech secion under the propper prepping thread it tells u how to check for this clearance. Find the defensse round that clears to ur satisfaction and just stick with it. 102 golden sabres gavemy P380 fits, so I just don't shoot it, I use now the corbon power ball, it c;lears great and feeds great, two necessities for a good reliable gun.

P380s are pretty bada$$ aren't they. Mine had a premature slide lockback when I didn't smack the back of the full mag on my hand to seat the rounds to the back of them mag.

I like the black slide more, but the stainless one is easier to take care of.

So .... per my post in the tech section...

                      Flitz paste or liquid... ?

I can't find it here and need to eBay some to me...
I use Flitz paste and it works very well for me.

I have been using lately from wal mart BrakeKleen non cholorinate low vos j(whatever in the fokk that means). It is powerful and harms nothing. I have also found it at auto zone to. I look for the chepest priced non cholorinated brake cleaners I can find, some seem like a more powerful spray though which realy blows sh-t out of areas u can't see or get to. Just remember these cleaners CLEAN so proper relubing is a must and if one used the kahr lube chart I don't see how u can fail....

                            have a good shoot cesande:israel:

gonna try to shoot 200 tomorrow ALL left handed ! OK maybe not ALL but most...
IF the premature slide lock starts... I will imediately go to left handed.
I will use 2 handed shooting... but again will try left handed to make SURE it is not my grip and not (hopefully with the 2 hand grip) limp wristing.

Oh and she is lubed up good Jocko.... I am a FIRM believer in Gunzilla and used it liberally (can't believe I just used that word) ! in all points of lube chart !!!!

report coming in about 15 hours
