This is for the OP twofocused...Hope you get your Kahr to working again soon...I don't think too muck oil was the real issue but who knows...This is a FYI to folks about using too much and the wrong type products trying to over lube and over love our pistols...

I found out the hard way that if you mix CLP and Remoil you end up with goo...I used this mixture on a S&W 686 revolver and it gunked it up so much the action wouldn't work...The cylinder stop got stuck and the trigger wouldn't return...Took the side plate off and blasted the goo out with brake cleaner and lightly oiled with only Remoil and all was well again...

Nothing wrong with CLP, it's good stuff but not mixed with anything else....I stopped using CLP because I don't care for the smell...I have found a great and inexpensive spray lube called Max Film made by Royal Purple which I get at O'reilly's auto parts...It's a synthetic penetrant spray that goes on wet then dries but leaves a super slick coating on metal...My guns love the stuff and it even smells ok too...

New Kahr owners really need to check out the proper prep and lube sticky as it is very helpful to get started off on the right foot without issues...

Also twofocused you should NEVER NEVER get any type of lube near the striker/firing pin area which is just asking for trouble with misfires and light primer strikes...Only maintenance for this area is to stick the red nozzle of a can of the gun cleaner of your choice (Most here use non chlorinated brake cleaner) in the clean out hole next to the striker channel and blast any crud out of there then leave it alone and only lightly lube the areas in the chart...

Let us know what the results are of the return to the mother ship for the trigger issue as we all learn things all the time here...Good luck...

Congratulations, welcome to the equestrian world. Will this be your first head.

Good idea to allow lots of room in your trophy room, they take up a considerable amount of space. I really should know, I have 27 myself, one was a paint, very nice and my favorite.

New owner of cm9. No errors. I really appreciated the prep info, the break down video and the lube chart. However it would be great if someone who has been shooting, cleaning and lubing Kahrs for a long time would make a video from start to finish of their cleaning and lube technique. I follow the directions that I can find but this is my first pistol and it can be confusing with all of the scattered and possibly wrong info out there. Thanks for all the info. I would be completely lost without all of your help.

I got the Kahr back and the notes said that they reworked the trigger bar. Myself and others fired at least 300 rounds thru it with no hiccups.

                              Lovin it
