  • Custom CM9 - Finally!

I finally got back the custom CM9, and I could not be happier. The gun has been dehorned, duracoated, and OS Big Dots added. I was originally going to have the slide cut for the sights, but someone on here posted that the pinned sights were available. Thanks for that, but I cannot recall who posted it. I asked for a matte black. The duracoate is perfect IMO, because it has a very similar shade and tone to the plastic. I am also very happy with what I think is very aggressive dehorning. The pinned Big Dots saved me some $. Total charge was $220, so I now have a total of $620 into the gun. I liked it so much that I gave him my other CM9 to make exactly the same.

I did not spend a lot of time on the pics, and there is A LOT OF FUZZ THAT LOOKS LIKE BLEMS. There is a slight idiot mark on it from the gunsmith (duh!), so I am going to attempt to smooth that area. That is the only blem.

Faint idiot mark on a poly gun...Dang!

Turned out very nice. I like it. Dehorning just makes em look custom. Never could figure why the factory (all brands) don't do more of that.

Wow, that is a gorgeous setup. Did the $220 include the cost of the sights?

Awesome! Tell me where I can have my PM9 done for that price. I have factory tritium night sights on mine so I will probably keep those but would like to get it dipped for sure!

itsthelaw: IMO u now need to contour and mod the slide stop lever. U can do that yourself with a file. or dremel.

I contoured mine alot and even on the right side where the slide stop pin sticks oput like a sore thumb.I shortened it withmy dremeland rounded it flush with the right side frame. Looks like a trigger pin, but I have no issues getting the lever out either.

If u search on this form for jocko's custom PM9, u will see my cutom job on my PM9. Accurate Iron did alot of my work including the grip stippling, I did the mag well cut outs..

. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Considering how talented this guy is, he probably would have dealt with the scratch himself if it were possible. I'm guessing that you probably won't improve on the appearance of the area with the scratch and might make it more noticeable.

It looks really nice as it is! Congratulations!
It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.
