The whole idea of dehorning, was first to make the pistol easier and smoother to holster. Then to perhaps prevent wear on jackets or trousers in holsters that left parts exposed. Then to prevent injury to the shooter (ie, rough part, ie grip safety or thumb safety) that would give the shooter a blister etc. Then for cosmetics.
So tell me, hows the slide stop lever? Rounded? Hows the front right edge of the ejection port, sorta sharpish? Hows the slide from the extractor up to the breech face, sorts square and snaggy?
Really, Kahr's are damn well dehorned as they come, except those areas just mentioned. So, Mr. Gunsmith, in his mind says "dehorn means round the front top and back. Got it!" , and does so. Really though, those areas could have been left as is, and offered no great detrement, while the three areas I mention, more or less do.
Its a pretty pistol, but I think the dehorn fell short of what should have been done, and was more or less... really.... cosmetic more than additional function.
BTW, (ziiiiiiip) , I'm not eatin' Weaties here no more!
