I went through the same situation: had a G26 UNTIL the PM9 arrived. Sold the G26 because it was just sitting in the safe all lonely & depressed. The PM9 goes everywhere and does it better then any handgun I've owned. The Govt 1911 was feeling neglected until I found a Commander in 9mm that I bought with the G26 proceeds. And on it goes. If you sell the 26, buy another Kahr!

I just never knock glocks, they are IMO the one company that changed the semi world of guns as we know it today. now the grip might be to big for some, or blocky to others etc but it is probably the most totally reliable semi that ever made its way to us shooters. So many companies have copied the glocks in some way or the other . I sold um for years NEVER had one ever come back for anything, from a dealer stand point that is what we like to see to. They were never $1000 guns but affordable to all . they still to this day control the LEO market with over 60% of all LEO agencies carrying a glock of some kind. My hat is off to glock for what they have done for the firearms industry, BUT that being sad I carry 24/7 my PM9 for my G19 as great a gun as it is, just does not fit the bill for me. I wish I could shoot my PM9 1/2 as good as I can my g19 though. In a fire fight my G19 wolud be my gun to grab all the time, 15 rounds trumps 7 rounds all day. 2" groups for me at 15 yards trumps `12" groups with my PM9 all day..
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Yup, you can't really knock a Glock. If someone told me I had to take a brand new gun out of the box and go into a fight without shooting a single round thru it, my choice would hands down be a Glock. Maybe a XD or a M&P but not with as much confidence.
Even over my beloved Para's, Kimbers, any other. They just work. Course my Kahr works just fine too but just didn't have the out of the box confidence. Some say you either love Glocks or you hate them but once again I'm different in that I dont lean so far either way.( mostly cause I'd probably tip the dang chair over and fall on the ground, one reason I never play ping pong any more). I like em, just don't love em or hate em.

          I used to have a G26, G36 and G30.
          Now I have a PM9 and PM45.
Nothing wrong with Glocks but, for me, Kahr works better as a CCW.

            how about xd's to Kahrs?

Over the past year my favorite guns had been an xd9sc and an xd45c. (ok, a nice lil Sig P238, too. I'll show how it figures in here.) even the xd9sc got heavy after carrying for a few hours and it's a little thick. one day I ran across a used Kahr PM9 and traded the Sig for it straight up. After getting the PM9 the xd9sc became a house pistol. Then I saw that the CW45 could be had for about $450 and the only way to fund that purchase was to sell the xd9sc. I NEVER thought I'd do that, but I did. I've had no problem adjusting to the DAO trigger on the Kahrs. I now have 3 Kahrs....well, I have 2 and the wife has one...the CW9. I'm quite pleased with the Kahrs.

                kahr Vs Glock

I've had a Glock 19 for about 10 years and just bought my PM9 about 2 months ago. I still love my glock and would choose it in a SHTF situation, but for typical carry you cant beat the Kahr. Its so comfortable I can easily carry it 24/7, which you cant easily do with the glock. For me, I'll keep both forever.

When I got my CW9 the G36 went in the safe. Only time it has come out since was when I had to send the Kahr back for some minor repairs. Kahr came back and the Glock is back in the safe. I'll shoot the G36 once in a while buy I carry the CW9 everyday.

At the moment I have no Kahrs but two Glocks a G23 and my baby a G30.
These are NOT concealed carry guns, for me they are both too big. The are range / SHTF guns and the G30 gets packed for hiking/woods use.
I am in love with the Kahr PM45, I do plan to replace my Taurus PT709 Slim with one in the future. It'll be a while before I get it, the 709 is a very good EDC, I recently acquired an AO M1 Carbine(haven't pick it up yet) and I want to build a 10/22 practice rifle to go with the M1.....the PM45 will come after I have all that payed for.

It dawned on me the other day, I have gotten rid of 4 guns in the last 3 years. One of those was a 44 black powder, the other my 380, then ironically both of my snub nosed revolvers. I have yet to replace them, though I have my eye on a couple of things, and am waiting for the funds to some together. I don't care to own a Glock, but might if the opportunity was just right.

This may be just me but, I shoot and have always shot Glocks more accurately than any other pistol. I was very resistant to buying a Glock for years, you know, they are kind of ugly and so utilitarian ....The truth is when I palm that fat grip, line those fighting sights and pull that combat trigger....a Glock settles right in, bullets go where I'm aiming and they fire every time.

I have a G19 and a PM9. Like 'em both. Depending on the situation, I concealed carry both. TJ

When I first got into handguns I let the bias of some of my friends become my bias through osmosis. I didn't like Glocks....I wasn't sure why I just "knew" I didn't. Then I shot one, I was wrong, I like Glocks, they are ugly but when I grab the grip and line up those sites I make holes right were I thought I would everytime.

                            I don't own a lot of them but I am a fan.

In the last 18 months, I've sold 2 Kel Tecs, 2 XD's, an LCP, and a Sig P238, and oh yeah a S&W .45. I've ended up with a PM9, PM45, G27, and a G36. I only buy what I can carry. As you can see I have no problem selling guns. I just wish I had found Kahrs before I went through the gambit and miriad of manufacturers. I LOVE both my Kahrs but have a special fondness for Boom Boom (PM45). It feels so good in my hand and shoots great. I'm currently considering selling my G36 and probably wouldn't have purchased it had I had my Kahr. I love my glocks and think they are extremely reliable and easy to work on, which gave me a real respect for their design. I just love the Kahrs a little more.
