Man, all these rich Kahr forum members! How do you guys not sell a gun to buy another? Lottery, inheritance, tips from pole dancing...how? If it wasn’t for selling a few of my not-fired-since-who-the-hell-knows-when handguns, I wouldn’t own what I consider the best 9mm ccw…the PM9. IMHO
With that said, would someone please dope-slap me for selling my .357 mag 15 years ago?

I have a G19 & G26, and have owned several other Glocks over the years. I don't regret a single purchase. Probably the most reliable, accurate, out of the box guns I've ever had. Especially for the money, I don't think they can be beat.

With that said, my brother recently gave me my first Kahr, a PM9.

He had purchased the gun for himself a short time ago, but being the sucker he is for a good .45, it was quickly replaced with a Cylinder & Slide PM45.

So far I've been very happy with the PM9, in it's size & it's accuracy. At the moment it's at Kahr having a set of Novak/Trijicons installed. The only other changes I've made to the gun; a steel magazine release, and an improved polish to the feed ramp. I don't think any of this was a requirement, but I'm a tinkerer at heart.

Now, back to the never ending hunt for the perfect holster!

I have 4 Glocks 21,23,27and a 29. I also have 2 Kahrs, a CW9 and a recently purchased PM9. I carried the CW9 and retired the G27 from daily carry. Once I can run some rounds through the PM9 it will be my EDC. I hope it performs as well as the CW9 out of the box. I have prepped it already, just need to get out and shoot it.

I own a Glock 19,then I bought the PM9 [absolutely love it] and two days ago I bought a Glock 36.My next purchase will be a PM40 so I`m a Glock to Kahr to Glock and soon back to Kahr person.I like them all.I guess I`m a gun slut.Being a slut is a lot more fun than people let on.
In the area in which I now reside, when I`m placed in a group of four or five guys,I`m known as "the smart one".God help me.

Nothing wrong with being a gun slut. I wish I knew you were interested in a G36. I will say this, if Glock came out with a pocket 9, I'd probably buy it.

This just reinforces my thesis that "Glock-to-Kahr" is not a progression
but rather it is a "continuum" whereby points along the linear or "real" line
are merely setpoints in space/time where all possibilities exist.....

(Did I really just write that??)

Dude, I was wrong, we ain't brothers with different mothers, your way way smarter than me. I haven't a clue what you just said or mean.
But since I'm probably just scenting anyhow +1 on whatever it is.

In my defense I have fired Glocks, I even have friends that swear by them, however I care not one way or the other for them. Glocks don't fit my hand as well as some, and no worse than others. I find that the beauty of a gun is not in the cosmetics, but in the reliability, and consistency (this is a large part of accuracy) of that weapon. If I had the funds, and if a Glock in 357 Sig, 40, or 45 comes my way, and if I didn't see something else that looked to be a better deal, then I might just own that Glock. Until then, I'm ok without one.

                    Kahr & Glock

I had two Glocks (19 and 26) After I bought the first Kahr a CW9 I sold the Glock 26. Just did not feel good in the hand. I still have the 19 and will keep it.

If glock came out with a single stack 9 kahr's market share would plummet. The Glock 26 grip was designed by a dufus and Glock's refusal to come out with a single stack 9 is shameful. The Walther PPS is pretty good competition in the thin department but was make a little too large. Walther was looking to replace the HK P7 market with the PPS and they made it just a smidge too large to compete with the PM9. BUT IMO the PPS is a better shooter than the Kahr due to that outrageously long Kahr reset. Do these gun designers ever shoot their own pistols? I know that Walther engineers did because it shows. The Kahr reset makes it really a target gun because it handicaps you at real self defense speeds for either speed or accuracy, esp single hand.

Kahr PM9 for carry and Glock 19 for bedside gun. Love em both.

I have a g36 and a pm45. I carry the pm45 mostly because of the size. As far as the reliabilty goes I'd have to say you could put them both in a box and shake it up and reach in and grab one, both go bang every time. The g36 is now my house gun, I do take it to the range and give it some exercise every time I go. The pm45 is just alot more comfortable to ccw, and it's better looking.

                            Kuzzy,

I don't mean to be critical, but I can shoot my Kahr's faster than I can recover and pick up the front site, so whats the point in pulling the trigger if you can't hit what your shooting at? Are we trying to get off two to three rounds off a second? I can do quite nicely with two accurate shots in about a second and a half with my PM9 and only slightly more with my PM45...and those shots are in the 10x & 10 rings at 5-7 yards combat. The reset does take alittle getting use to, but if you learn to take up the slack, then press the trigger braeking the shot, you can become pretty darn fast. Keep in mind, the whole idea behind the Kahr trigger was to have it already partially set upon chambering the next round, keeping the overall trigger pull lighter and smoother.
If your talking minute of shotgun patterns then I would suggest getting a "Judge" and stoking it with .410 defense round from Winchester.

I owned a Glock 26 for about 6 months, and never liked shooting it. Each shot hurt the knuckle of my middle finger. As soon as the PM9 became legal here (MASS), I traded in the Glock and never looked back.

For a slightly larger 9mm, I do love my Sig P239.

I carried a Glock 19 in a Milt Sparks Executive's Companion IWB when I lived in the Seattle area.

When I relocated to Florida I had concerns about keeping it reliably concealed when I wore hot weather clothing (lightweight shirt fabric), especially on breezy days.

After researching small auto pistols I chose the Kahr PM-9, because it's manual of arms is identical to the Glock 19, which meant my techniques and skills carried directly over. I'm very pleased with the PM-9.

But rather than carrying the PM-9 in an IWB holster behind my strong side hip, like I did my Glock 19, I modified a Milt Sparks Summer Special II IWB holster for appendix carry, which has worked very well for me.
