I had that one forwarded to me by an officer friend of mine. My clumsy self would be tying off all the time, I tend to climb with my center of gravity far enough out that I would be tying off.

When I was a lot younger (and dumber) I was a volunteer fireman and none of that stuff bothered me.
Then as I got older and had kids, I got "roped" into trying climbing and rapelling. It bothered me but I couldn't let the kids see me chicken.
Now that I am older and way more wise, there's NO Fo KK ing way you're getting me up there.sigpic

HFS! Palpitations! Yes!
I don't like being near the edge at great heights, but strap me in an airplane... no problem.
Climbing trees... going up was never a problem... coming back down was.
Thanks for the post. I hope those guys get a few more bucks than minimum wage!

Pucker factor of ten. I guess some folks are cut out for that but I'm not one of them. As a telco lineman I regularly climbed to 18' without a thought. I had to climb a railroad crossing once that was 30' and was painfully aware when I passed 18'.•"Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." - O. L.

Italian pregnancy..
An 18 year old Italian girl tells her Mom that she has missed her period for 2 months. Very worried, the mother goes to the drugstore and buys a pregnancy kit. The test result shows that the girl is pregnant.. Shouting, cursing, and crying, the mother yells, 'Who was the dirty pig that did this to you? I want to know!'
The girl picks up the phone and makes a call. Half an hour later, a Ferrari stops in front of their house. A mature and distinguished man with grey hair and impeccably dressed in an Armani suit steps out of the car and enters the house.
He sits in the living room with the father, mother, and the girl and tells them: 'Good morning, your daughter has informed me of the problem.
I can't marry her because of my personal family situation but I'll take charge. I will pay all costs and provide support for your daughter for the rest of her life.
Additionally, if a girl is born, I will bequeath a Ferrari, 2 retail stores, a townhouse, a beach-front villa, and a $2,000,000 bank account.
If a boy is born, my legacy will be a couple of factories and a $4,000,000 bank account.
If twins, they will each receive a factory and $2,000,000 each.
However, if there is a miscarriage, what do you suggest I do?'
At this point, the father, who had remained silent holding a shotgun, places a hand firmly on the man's shoulder and tells him.
'You gonna give it another try.'sigpic

Gun Discharge Oops!
"As [he] pulled down his trousers, Seals' Ruger .357 caliber revolver fell out of it's holster, hit the ground and inadvertently fired."
So do Ruger revolvers discharge when hitting tile floors, or was something else going on?•"Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." - O. L.

Question???? I was talking to another member about waiting for the CM45 to come out. He asked me if it has been announced and while I thought Kahr had said it will be developed, now I can't find that. Have they said anything like it's in the works, or a date?•"Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." - O. L.

Not that I'm aware of. I heard the 40 is in the works and maybe even out. Don't recall any word on the 45.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

I did drilling and blasting work back in the day. Had this job blasting for the foundation for one of those towers. I dunno how long we drilled one day only to come in the next day and have the big boss come over and say umm boys you got to move over here. The guy who OWNED the mountain had come home the day before and checked out where they were placing the tower and called them and told them they could move it or not build it and he din't care which they did but it weren't going to be in the way of his sunrise or sunset whichever one it was...Originally posted by Tinman507 View PostWhen I was a lot younger (and dumber) I was a volunteer fireman and none of that stuff bothered me.

Anyway the big boss of that corporation asked me if I wanted a job. He said you just the kind of guy I need and he offered me a heck of a wage. Said you can come home and take your wife out to eat on me every week too. I hadda tell him no I couldn't do that job I was scared of height I'd be so slow he'd fire me in less than a day. Now if I could be the guy on the ground for less than half of what he had offered I'd take that job...
