I recently bought a new glock 19 gen3 (test fired November 2011) that is throwing about two shells out of a 50ct box right back between the eyes with fmj target stuff. Nothing so far with quality SD rounds.

From what I've read, glock recently changed the way the extractors are made. It was probably a corporate move to save 0.01 cents per unit. Why mess with a good thing?

I'm giving it until 500 rounds to "break in" and if it's still doing it I'll sell it and get an m&p.

It's a new gun under warranty. Why not send it back to the mothership and get it fixed on Glock's dime?
      Very interesting...

I've been keeping up with things over on glock talk regarding this issue. It seems nothing is coming back fixed right now, glock doesn't have a fix for this yet.

In todays market with all the good pistols out there, Glock better find a fix in a hurry. I like my Glock 26 well enough but I certainly do not look at it as anything special. It has not been more reliable or a better shooter than my PM9, XD9SC,CZ 75B, or the RIA 1911. Although they may be a bit different from one another in what there made of with different features and uses, there all great priced right pistols that I have CC at one time or another. There are many other brands I've also shot with great results. Unfortunately on retirement income I can't buy them all. IMO Glock does not have a lock on good reliable pistols at a good price. Anyone thinking they do needs to put down the Glockaide open there eyes, and mind and dare to think out of the box, and get to a gun shop and see what's really going on in the gun world. Not Bashing Glocks, Just keeping it real,as they are not the only game in town (far from it)when it comes to great pistols. The gun world is a beautiful place with so many choices. We are very lucky my friends.
To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

S&W M&Ps and Walther PPQs are going to eat Glocks lunch if they aren't careful.

            I love my gen 3 G27.
But if I was in the market for a compact 9mm it would not be a Glock.
