Anyone who finds joy in another animals suffering is a sub human.
And I'll say it to your face, in your face anytime.
You're not worthy to share my breath.
I find it hard sending my mutts out to investigate a bump in the night.

Good news! I'm happy for you.

Glad to read that it ended well. I am still wondering what the heck Porky was doing rifling through the mail before he set out on his journey. It must have been something he read.

      Cheers

Man I'm glad it all worked out for you. Being long time dog owner I know how that feels. Makes you sick in your stomach to think one of your little buddies could be in a bad situation.

I would printed pictures off last night and was going to go around tonite and ask the neightbors if they had seen him. I was going to last night but had some errands to run and didn't get home until late. Sure was glaad to see him. Thanks for all your kind words and concerns everyone. I appreciated them. Before I left yesterday, I drove all around calling for hiim, and thought I would have heard him barking if a neighbor had him in a back yard or something.

Looks like you need a fake rattle snake and a video camera in that mail box!

Could be an identity thief. Report it to the county sheriff and to the post office (federal offense), and maybe install one of those camoflaged game cameras that is motion activated on a tree if there is one close enough.
                      Very interesting...

Maybe you are not getting any mail on the days the door is open. It could be the wind blowing it open when the last time it wasn't closed properly. How many times have you found the door open and mail still in there? Mine blows open often if I don't push hard when closing. You can bend the shape of the box to make it tighter or looser.

My box shuts very tight, and doesnt blow open. One of those motion detecting cameras sounds like a good idea. And I don't remember the last time I didn't get any mail at all. There is always at least some junk mail or something.

I'd have your mail held at the post office for a couple weeks.

Put 3 sticks of dynamite wired to the door for activation. I seen this in a Dirty Harry movie, worked real good.

You might still not know who's taking your mail but they won't take it anymore.

You'll probably need a new mailbox though and a post and probably some landscaping to fill in the crater.

Might not be worth it, too much work...............................

Another fine idea circling the drain.
