Hard to believe this terrible addiction started with one pistol a few years back. For years I was satified with just Ruger security six in a 38/357 and a 20 Ga Mossberg under the bed for HD. Then came 911 and things started to change real quick into a full blown addiction. Now I'm out of Farkin control. Yesterday when I went to get large quanties of ammo at the GS for the guns, being that I'm not buying anymore guns and just shooting what I have already. I'll be darned if someone didn't put down on the counter a very nice little Henry Lever action .22 right in front of me. Trying with all my might not to pick it up I failed miserably and picked it up. You know there a pretty nice little .22. Did I ever mention how much I like .22's and I also like lever actions. Good news is I walked (very shakingly) out of the store without it. (thank god I left most of my money home).

That notch in the rail is supposed to be there

Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."

Have to admit Barth I'm having a bit of a problem getting that little 22 cal. Lever Action Henry out of my mind. Please someone tell me you own one and there a POS so I may live in peace.

Tinman your not helping the cause by bringing out all the fun in them. However after some thought it could play with some new found friends the 10/22 ,22/45 and the old Marlin 81DL. Plus I did just buy two Federal 550 round bricks for them at Wally World the other day.

Is this a payback for the Mosin??

You can buy it now and be happy. Or you can suffer for a week or two and then buy it anyhow. I've been there.

I say if you have the loot. Stick with be happy.

On the internet, the number of posts do not correlate to actual knowledge.
The notch is supposed to be there as well as the bulge at the front of the frame!

Somehow I think quitting smoking was easier then not buying guns.

Can't have too many guns or too much ammo! Layaway is my friend. My latest acquisition: Desert Eagle 1911 G.

I may have one of the worst jobs for those of us that are afflicted. I tend to see every firearm brought into the store, and if I don't see them I look at the log book. My latest "aquirement" (is that even a word???) is a very simple little Mossberg 46M .22 bolt action. I like the old and odd. Price was right and a little refurbishing I'll have some that'll turn heads during squirrel season.

No, the wife doesn't know about this one, either.

You had to bring that up, didn't you? I just quite smoking at midnight, this past Saturday! I started in my junior year of college in 1963, and this is my first attempt to quit. It's hard, but not as bad as I thought it would be - five days and I'm still hanging in there. I've been taking rides in one of the convertibles late at night or in the early morning when it's cool to get my mind off of it.

As far as guns are concerned, I think I'm done too. I didn't realize it until I sold one of my beloved 3rd gen S&W 45's last month and now my CW40 is on the block if I find someone interested. It's become redundant since I got the CW45 in December, anyway. I'm far from being out of the sport with fifteen pistols and a 45 carbine, but it seems to be less important to me lately. This is the only gun forum I've visited in the last week or ten days, and that's unheard of for me. I haven't actively looked for any gun deals lately either.
