But you're a man and you'll still be wrong.

That notch in the rail is supposed to be there

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."

I would go with a .380 next if she's comfortable with the P22.
I also like my K40. I don't carry it as my CCW as often because it's a little to bulky.
I heard those same angels, and I don't have small hands. The trigger and the simplicity was the draw for me. I have a P380 that might be a little snappy compared to the P22, but it seems a logical next step. The P380 would be easily concealed. Thanks!
Me, too. The trigger, the simplicity. But I really heard the angels sing when I wrapped my partially crippled hand around my CM9 and saw how my useless, curled up little finger just curled up comfortably underneath the magazine!

A P380 was out of my comfort zone pricewise, so I got a Taurus 738 TCP 380 from Bud's for $191, got two extra mags for it, and paid my smith just $30 to polish the feed ramp, fluff & buff, clean and lube it. He even test fired it because I had some FTFs in the first few rounds that I put thru it. It is good to go, now! He commented on how nice a trigger it has. Very thin, very easily pointable, very small slide release (yes, it locks back after last round) that isn't nearly as bulky as the P380's, yet works well. I am very pleased with it!
              Very interesting...

                i carry cw9 &g19

if she doesn't feel comftable with real gun, maybe try her w/airgun. most of them come looking like real once. that should give her practice with safety and shooting in general. some women just not gun ppl. maybe running around with airsoft gun or even pain gun might make things better or it may not.
as for what i carry, i have Glock 19 for my winter/fall timeframe since i can conseal a bigger gun better with sweatshirt then a tshirt. summer time, i carry kahr cw9. i been around guns for almost 15yrs. its second nature. i even got my husband in to shooting long distance now. he loves it.

My sweet mother in law, mid 70s carries either a full size Ruger .357, or more often lately, a hammer less SP101 .357. Still fishes remote areas in the mountains by herself, has MS, two knee replacements. Always open carries.
She has handled more than one encounter in the wilderness with creeps and will not give up any good fishing spot . Pity the poor soul who thinks she is easy prey.
