Got to love a longslide 45, I will own one someday.
Not to drift off target here but I saw this today and kind of giggled...
"Sturm Ruger (RGR) and Smith & Wesson (SWHC) were downgraded by KeyBanc Capital Markets, which said a recent surge in gun sales isn't sustainable and their shares are overvalued. The bank cut Smith & Wesson to hold from buy and reduced Sturm Ruger to underweight from hold. S&W fell 11.9% to 8.60, and Ruger slid 5.6% to 45.39."
So here is a stock analyst who seems anti gun enough to sport this, but is "shooters mindset" ignorant enough to whip himself up a real quandry. If slashing the ratings on two GUN business BECAUSE they have too many orders, is an attempt to attack the american gun industry AND if his ratings gambit works, as a bit part to re-elect the current Washington gaurd, then sales for these two american companies will skyrocket by December making him... well... wrong, causing his clients to lose big $$. Just seems odd to me. I make a living in an industry where our stock price and Wall street rating are hyper dependent on having an impressive order backlog. Seems kind of crazy to me to ding a company(s) for having too many sales pending.
Just something I found funny about this. Maybe its just me...
or maybe he just knows the good guys will win the (election) day, fer-sure.
Have a good one.I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
"Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
"more stuff than you are"

Belt Enhancement
I got tired of being between holes on my belt, where one hole is too tight and the next one is too loose. My middle aged spread expands and contracts frequently, compounding the problem. So I decided to shop for a hole punch. I found this HD Hole Punch at eBay.

I like it. Real heavy duty compared to the typical offerings. Great price and free shipping. It takes me quite a few minutes to get a hole punched clean through my 1/4" thick belt, but it gets the job done. Now I have that 1/2" increment where I need it!
Very interesting...

Sold! Just ordered one, too. I've been looking for one and hope this one is really heavy duty! I need to make my belts smaller!

I watched Worlds Fastest Indian last night, happened to stumble on it right as it was starting. Always loved that movie.
I been to the Salt Flats 3 times, first time back in 73 with my auto shop instructor as a crew man. What a wonderful place and anything cool that can be done to a car or a bike you'll see there.
Lots of neat stuff. I'd like to go again one day.
Speaking of bucket list, I have to share my pride. We had SWAT training last Thursday and I saw some pictures of a pretty young gal up there shooting with them so I asked where she was from as we have a multi agency team.
Come to find out she was the girlfriend of a guy that went thru our citizens academy a few years ago. She has stage 4 lung cancer, 1 to 6 months to live, 21 years old. Never shot a gun before in her life.
Usually there is no deviation with SWAT training, they have a plan, no function checking of weapons or goofing around.
They had the boyfriend bring her up without her knowledge as a surprise.
They let her shoot the full gamut, handguns, shotguns, full auto M4's, the full meal deal. I'll not share pictures but she was all smiles. It was high 90's that day and she was right out there having a ball.
I wish I'd known about it as I would have went up and watched. I told them that anything else I or we as a dept could do to make her days enjoyable we would do. The boyfriend came in and got a disc with all the pictures on it.
I was proud of the guys for doing that. Kind of a terribly sad deal to get this at such a young age.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

Dang! That's so sad that anyone has to suffer such a fate, but nice that someone gave her special attention and brightened her day.
I sought this thread to bring some humor and that gave me pause, but I'll drop this on you anyhow...
PROBABLY ONE OF THE MOST WORRY-SOME NEWS REPORTS IN RECENT YEARS.
25% of women in this country are on medication for mental illness.
That's scary. It means 75% are running around untreated

Dear Airlines....
Dump the male flight Attendants. No one wanted them in the first place.
Replace all the female flight attendants with good-looking strippers!
What the hell!!
They don't even serve food anymore, so what's the loss?
The strippers would at least triple the alcohol sales and get a "party atmosphere" going in the cabin.
And, of course, every businessman in this country would start flying again, hoping to see naked women.
Because of the tips, female flight attendants wouldn't need a salary, thus saving even more money.
Muslims would be afraid to get on the planes for fear of seeing naked women. Hijackings would come to a screeching halt, and the airline industry would see record revenues.
This is definitely a win- win situation if we handle it right -- a golden opportunity to turn a liability into an asset.
Why didn't Bush or Obama think of this?
Why do I still have to do everything myself?
Sincerely,

I just saw this over on Facebook:
Rich Millionaire
A rich millionaire decides to throw a massive party for his 50th birthday, so during this party he grabs the microphone and he announces to his guests that down in the garden of his mansion he has a swimming pool with two alligators in it. 'I will give anything they desire of mine, to the man who swims across that pool.' So the party continues with no events in the pool, until suddenly, there is a great splash and all the guests of the party run to the pool to see what has happened. In the pool is a man and he is swimming as hard as he can, and the tails come out of the water and the jaws are snapping and this guy just keeps on going and the alligators are gaining on him and this guy reaches the end and he gets out of the pool, tired and soaked. The millionaire grabs the microphone and says, 'I am a man of my word, anything of mine I will give, my Ferraris, my house, absolutely anything, for you are the bravest man I have ever seen. So sir what will it be?' the millionaire asks. The guy grabs the microphone and says, 'Why don't we start with the name of the jerk that pushed me in!'

Ole and Sven are walking down a street in Minocqua WI, when they see a sign on a store that reads, "Suits $5.00 each, shirts $2.00 each, and trousers $2.50 per pair.
" Ole says to his pal, "Looky here! We could buy a whole gob of dese, take 'em back ta Dulute, sell 'em to our friends, n make a fortune. Now when we go in der, you be quiet, okay? Just let me do da talkin cuz if dey hear yur accent, dey might tink we're ignrant n try to cheat us. No way, dey'll know we're from Minnesota."
They go in and Ole says with his best "Wisconsin" accent, "I'll take 50 of those suits at $5.00 each, 100 of those shirts at $2.00 each, and 50 pairs of trousers at $2.50 each. I'll back up my pickup and ...."
The owner of the shop interrupts, "You're from Minnesota, ain't you?"
"Vell...yeah," says a surprised Ole, How'd ya know dat!?"

Good one, Jeepster.
JFootin, I just used that new hole punch... works great! It FEELS heavy duty and easily punched through my Looper gun belt. I really needed another hole to tighten my belt up and had been looking for a decent punch... not another cheap thing that might bend from squeezing it. At $11.90 delivered USPS Priority, that was quite a deal. Thanks again for posting the info!
I took my P380 off to go into the BX Thursday and my shorts were a bit loose at the waist... using the last hole in my belt. I hope I keep losing weight... down to about 169 from 186 a few months ago... on my regular dosages of meds for diabetes 2 now. The latest adjustment dropped Glucovance and I just use Glucophage now... without any really low glucose levels now... hypoglycemia.

Not worth a new thread. Somebody here mentioned awhile back about loading 41 mag. I can't remember who the heck it was.
Any 41 mag shooter in kahrtalkville?http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!
