Great news about your MIL DeaconKC!

Brother John Bishop has been a blessing to my family and me during some pretty rough health situations. What a sense of humor he has as well.

If I can ever have a for real light saber, I would give up my guns for that. Damn that boating accident, and my low wages that prevent replacement.

That might work... IF you could learn to swat bullets from the air!

The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Thanks, but I didn't take that picture.
Although it is a random sample from the block of 2006 NIB guns mine is from.

I can't wait to hit the range Friday and break my new girl in.
I've got 400 rounds of 357 Sig in hand and 400 more arriving UPS tomorrow.

We've got wildfires around here that have made the air bad around here for over a week. The air quality is off the charts bad and looks like you need a machete to walk through it.

No, I don't need any cheese with that whine!

We're actually getting a lot of that smoke over the mountains in to our side. It was very noticeable over the weekend. Kind of like California on a clear day around here.

They said on the news (if anyone believes them) that we have over 200 active wildfires in Washington. Big challenge.

Have friends in Ellensburg that narrowly missed losing their place, wind change at the last moment saved them a lot of grief.

I don't care for cheese or whine but a fine glass of scotch would be right nice about now.

I'm just feeling a bit cooped up. Trying to stay inside where the air is a little better.

Here's a bit of what the local paper had to say:
Health officials say even short-term exposure to the hazardous air in Wenatchee that’s persisted since last week is dangerous for everyone, not just those with health problems.
Is it worse than living in Los Angeles for a year? Yes.
Worse than breathing the ash-filled skies after Mount St. Helens blew? Yes.
“We asked all those questions: How does this compare to smoking for a lifetime, or living in Beijing or Mexico City or L.A.? This is much worse,” said Mary Small, spokeswoman for the Chelan-Douglas Health District.
Air quality monitoring stations in the Wenatchee area are recording small particulate levels that haven’t been recorded anywhere in Washington for at least 30 years, when the state started monitoring air quality, said state Department of Ecology spokeswoman Joye Redfield-Wilder. “This is unprecedented for as far back as we have monitoring data,” she said. It’s also the first time levels have pushed into hazard levels, and is about three times higher than any recordings made since Ecology started monitoring air quality in the 1980s, she said."
I still see people out running in this, water skiing, kayaking, etc. I almost want to turn the wipers on when I'm driving. Kinda nuts.

A scotch does sound like a good idea about now.

Hey pal, pack up and come on over with your gang, bring the dog too, it needs to breath too. You can hang out with us coasters until the air gets more breathable.

We can't burn nothing over here now either. Total burn ban, been a long time without rain.

We'll leave the light on for ya. I'm totally serious, we'll make room.

We can be like the Waltons, good night alphonse, good night JimBar, crap we can have Jimbar come down too and have a NW Kahrtalk reunion.

What if we don't like each other in real life? I know more scotch till we do?

Thanks Bawanna! I think we will head out and get into some better air for the weekend. I have a meeting near Lake Wenatchee on Saturday, and maybe we'll just keep going west.

We moved over from the west side a few years ago, so have a few places we're still welcome!

I would like to say hello sometime. This fall I'm supposed to go to the LeMay Museum with some friends. That would be a weekend event where I could come back through your berg.

I do appreciate it. And, we will get the dog some fresh air too.
