Just got back from early voting.
My wife was wondering how they know if you are registered to vote in more than one state.
I gotta check into this and see if I can register in LA, FL, MS, AL, GA, OK.......you get the idea.On the internet, the number of posts do not correlate to actual knowledge.

It depends on who your voting for. If your voting for Obama it's perfectly ok.Originally posted by MW surveyor View PostJust got back from early voting.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better." ~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006sigpic

It is sad to say but a verifiable fact that NO Republican President in the last 50 years has had a balanced budget or brought down the national debt. The last time it happened was Eisenhower. On the other side of the coin, in the last 50 years only 2 Democrat's have had balanced budgets (LBJ and Clinton) both times it was when the Congress was controlled by Republicans. I guess the lesson here is never give one side or the other all the power.....Originally posted by Tinman507 View Post" America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Balance is the key word. Any president could balance the budget if they downsized the military enough or if they gutted social programs enough. The tough part is balancing the needs vs. the wants. That is truly in the eye of the beholder no matter which party.
I do believe it is time to rethink all expenditures and at least understand the real reasons for continuing spending on them. The Marshal Plan rebuilding Europe has served it's usefulness. Need to understand why we continue to give money to other countries, country by country. It's time to stop controlling them and let them stand on their own. The British Empire had to go through this giving up country by country but they are better off for it. Foreign aid is one topic and permanent bases overseas staffed by military another. All these are low hanging fruit ripe to be picked.
In discussions with another, he says each of these don't amount to a nit in our huge budget, but I say it begs for a mind set of looking for opportunities to cut spending no matter the overall impact. You don't have to start cutting by killing trillion dollar programs.•"Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." - O. L.

Exactomundo! Stop giving what we don't have to give.
Theres also a ton of social programs that could come to a screeching halt immediately.
Just eliminating waste would be a huge step in the right direction.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!
