I have an XD45... great, but HUGE! I'm still thinking about a G21, too... bought 4 mags for one already.

The G23C and G19 are fun guns... both Gen 3's... and I'm still thinking of a Gen 4 G19 for Wifey. maybe I can trade my new/unfired G4 G22 w. NS for one at the June 1/2 gun show.

My daughter's on the verge of her first download... of my first grandchild... a granddaughter... next week... and I didn't want to miss the next good gun show. It has been a while since the last... gun show...

      No Compromise

My polymer pup 45 is my beloved HK45 Compact Tactical.
With a 3.9 lbs Light LEM trigger it's a real tack driver.
Adopted by the United States Naval Special Warfare Command.

Really don't think these guys drink Kool Aid.

Springfield has a 13+1 XD I'd have to compare it against. That SAR-K2 is still in the running, would be nice to be able to handle one before I commit to it.
The G21 is a fine hi-cap .45 ACP. The only draw back is that it doesn't work well for those with small hands, it's a large pistol.
        It's a soft recoiling .45 pistol.
I also have a Bar-Sto barrel for mine that I use when I shoot lead bullets.
My G21 loaded with 200 gr. SWC bullets is one fine shooting .45 with the Bar-Sto bbl.

FWIW, one of the best shooting Glock pistols that I've owned was a 24C.

I bought a new 24C upper at a great price from an LE distributer back in '97 who had several in stock.

I shot it on a G22 lower for a couple of years and then sent the upper into Glock and had it mated to a new frame of its own.

Glock insisted that they do the work even though I was at the time, a Glock Armorer. It was a liability thing on their part but, I did get a new gun warranty that included the new frame and the slide that I sent them.

Foolishly, I sold that 24C back in '01.

Great choice, love mine. See it came with the beavertail backstraps. Now go shoot it.
It's the stakes, not the odds.

I have G26 that is a great carry gun. I want to pick up a Gen 4 G19 sometime myself. they had a some issues with ejection when they came out, hope to hear yours runs like a Glock should.
My recently manufactured Gen 3 G19 had the ejection issue; seems to be cured after switching to a non-MIM extractor and the ejector that the Gen4's supposedly have now (30274).
