Thanks for this thread Bawanna, we really need to stop being so negative all the time and count our blessings.....I'm reading a book by Joyce Meyer called "Change your Words Change your Life" It really maters how we think and speak about anything that happens to us as life goes along and to try and keep a positive outlook on everything we do and say because people and especially our children really do hear and react to our words...I really think that negativity breeds negativity and can cause bad things to happen and I'm really trying to look at life in a more positive way these days....

My youngest son/shooting buddy and last child at home is going to receive his Eagle Scout award at the first of August and then go off to college...Funny as they are growing up you have this goal of getting them through high school and off to college and out of the house but now that the last one is leaving I'm not sure I like the idea so much....To those with small children and grand babies be sure to spend every minute with them that you can, they really do grow up so fast and the older we get the faster old mister time really seems to go....

Born under a bad sign with a blue moon in your eyes.......

I'm very jealous. I just sold my 2009 MINI, but I can well-imagine a Mini in my future some day as my toy.

        Did you bring the bike?
        There's nice riding down there!
No not this time Just the mountain bike and the Explorer. The Harley has been down to LBI a few time as well as Wildwood, AC, Cape May and a more than a few other shore points north like Point Pleasant and as far up as the Highlands. I used to ride with a group of guys called the Polar Bears where we rode all winter all over Pa., NJ, and NY. I gave that up a few years back as these old bones just do not like riding in 32 deg. weather and below for long distances anymore. OC was spared from Sandy I did notice quite a few boards have been replaced in the board walk around Tenth St. though. I like OC and LBI there's not a lot of BS goes on there, and you can just kick back relax have a few cold beverages and eat some pick and peels, and steamers and look at the ocean. Wife and I went to a place Thursday night called the Crab Trap. They had some of the best Scallops I have ever tasted. You being from LBI I'm sure you must have eaten at Mud City Crab House in Manahawkin a time or two. They have some very tasty food there also. Those young South Jersey Waitresses aren't to hard on the eyes either. Gives new meaning to eating clams while your looking at one of them.

I love the original minis....especially in RHD. Recently sold my fairly long term, 10 years, FX4 London Taxi hobby car.....too underpowered for any practical road use at 6000ft. Been pondering a new hobby machine. This be an idea. Was thinking about a Morris Minor but they have the same issue as Taxi did.

And come COB Wednesday I'm retiring from the active, daily workforce after 52 years solvent enough I'm not gonna have go get a job as a WalMart greeter nor eat cat food more than twice a week. I think that be a good happy.

I actually sold my MINI in order to have some money to play with. I'm following the eBay listing on the car below ... though I don't think I'm ready to play this hard just yet.

I just happened to be in the neighborhood of my LGS, had to stop by. I bought a Glock 17, too ugly to post a picture of even if I knew how. They had ammo too. I bought .22 lr (325) & a box of 50 .380's. Ammo seems to be comin' back here.
