That notch in the rail is supposed to be there
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
--Thomas Jefferson (1764).

On my way to visit the youngest daughter on Sunday, stopped at the Bass Pro Shop.
Got the last 525 round box of 22 lr.
OH, and blood work was good with my good and bad cholesterol within acceptable ranges and my blood sugar (A1C) at 6.1.
On the internet, the number of posts do not correlate to actual knowledge.
The notch is supposed to be there as well as the bulge at the front of the frame!

Sumbitch....
A large jet plane crashed on a farm in the middle of rural Kentucky . Panic stricken, the local sheriff mobilized and descended on the farm in force.
By the time they got there, the aircraft was totally destroyed with only a burned hull left smoldering in a tree line that bordered the farm. The sheriff and his men entered the smoking mess but could find no remains of anyone. They spotted the farmer plowing a field not too far away as if nothing had happened. They hurried over to the man's tractor.
"Hank," the sheriff yelled, panting and out of breath. "Did you see this terrible accident happen?"
"Yep. Sure did," the farmer mumbled unconcerned, cutting off the tractor's engine.
"Do you realize that is Air Force One, the airplane of the President of the United States ?"
"Yep."
"Were there any survivors?"
"Nope. They's all kilt straight out," the farmer answered. "I done buried them all myself. Took me most of the morning."
"President Obama is dead?" the sheriff asked.
"Well," the farmer grumbled, restarting his tractor. "He kept a-saying he
wasn't...
But you know how bad that sumbitch lies."http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

Resurrecting an old thread. Too much serious crap lately. This is nice reading...The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Picked up the new SP101 from the gunsmith, after a good sonic cleaning, spring change, fluff and buff, and pressure oil bath. The trigger feels real good now, smooth, and a bit heavy for the first 1/3 of the pull, then it really lightens up. Single action is down right scary................................perfect.Attached Files

^^^ SP101's seem to take well to a good trigger job. At least mine did. Enjoy!
I built a reloading bench today. It's a hillbilly looking thing as I made it all from scraps I had around the garage but it's steady as a rock! Now I'm one step closer to actually reloading. I guess buying the equipment might be next.
I added a cast shim and a drop shim to my shotgun today. I found I was looking down the left side of the rib and way too high too. I was making up for it with a little Kentucky windage. Now it seems to shoulder just fine but it was too late to go out to the pattern board. Wish me luck. I had to do something. Mr. Teacup Limpwrister beat me 3 of 4 rounds last Sunday. We can't have that now can we?
Thanks for bringing back a good thread!!!!O|||||||O
