I was in the safe today and got to playing with my first handgun. It's a H&R model 926 9 shot .22 revolver. I got it for Christmas when I was 12 or 13. It's seen better days. It's missing the rear sight blade and set screw and has a little surface rust here and there. I really should make some time and give it a little TLC. Me and this little .22 spent a lot of hours together when I was a kid. It was the "gateway gun" to my current addiction. Anyway let's hear from you other guys about your first handgun. (I'll try to post some pics later)

My first handgun was a High Standard HD Military .22 LR target pistol with a 6" bull barrel. I like to track rabbits in the snow and if I caught them sitting I'd pop em in the head with that .22. No wasted meat that way.Never trust anyone who doesn't trust you to own a gun.

I started with a Ruger single six convertible. 22/ 22mag. I sold it once but got it back a few months later. We covered a lot of miles, me and that old Ruger.
Still in pretty decent shape too, better than me for sure.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms..disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one.” – Jefferson
