2 Ruger .357 revolvers, GP-100 4" SS for me, SP-101 3.1" SS for the Mrs. They were purchased specifically for carrying while horseback riding in the great outdoors.

Smith & Wesson Model 28 Highway Patrolman .357 Magnum with 6" barrel. Given to me as a high school graduation gift. Sold it to a friend about five years later. Been kicking myself in the butt ever since.

About two years ago, I saw one for sale at a LGS. It was in absolute pristine condition with the original grips (serial numbered to the frame), pinned barrel, recessed cylinder, the whole works just like the one I had. I eyed it fondly, but didn't take the plunge. A couple of days later, my son who'd been with me at the time, came home and presented me with a gift. Totally blew me away. What a kid.

Accu Tek AT-380 - piece of junk.

It was that or a Taurus PT22, and the shrewd counter guy at the hardware store opened two boxes of ammo, and put a .380 next to a .22LR. Sold!

The Accu Tex take-down involved an allen wrench, and the 4 page manual did not tell you that a little link would fall out, which it did, unseen. Shooting it the first time I learned that it would fire even with the safety on, due to the missing link. Sent it back for warranty repair, and all they had to do was replace the link I had lost.

A week after I got it back, I bought a Ruger P89DC, and ended up trading the Accu Tek in on a 50th Anniversary Ruger Mark II, which I still have, NIB, unfired.

My first handgun was purchased in April, 1968, from a gun shop in Coral Hills Maryland, just off the border to Washington, D.C. I had to wait an extra week to pick it up because all the gun stores were closed due to MLK riots. It was worth the wait... a beautiful Colt Woodsman Match Target.

Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

Gen 1 Glock in 9mm in 1988. I thought it was a piece of crap. Shot it once and it was gone. Never missed it.

It was traded for a Colt government model .380 and I still have it. It's one sweet shooter. It was my concealed carry piece back then. Got a .357 revolver soon after that too.

Always had rifles and a shotgun before that since I was about 8 years old. I still have my first .22 single shot bolt action. The barrel is completely shot out of it.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

.36 Colt Navy cap and ball replica...built from a kit. I don't remember the brand, or who I sold it to, or when, but I wish I still had it.
A couple Colts, a couple Brownings, a Makarov, a Sig, a couple Rugers, a couple Kahrs, a couple Smith & Wessons, a Walther, and a couple Berettas .....Oh, and some long guns...

My oh my, you started first cabin for sure. I have a twin to that. It's like the gun grew in the palm of my hand, perfect blue steel to skin fit.
I gotta get inside mine, it shoots well, cycles a new round but doesn't reset the striker, manually rack the slide and your good to go.
So it's an every other round shooter. Haven't been able to figure it out yet.
