It's funny, how the ones that complain the most, keep coming back....................most of us who own Kahrs have pretty much heard it all. I am surprised that people would keep ANY of their Kahrs around, if they were that bad, or if they disliked them that much. It's like they are looking for some sort of validation, that it's ok to sell their Kahrs. Go ahead.................. might be some people here who would purchase them. You won't change Kahr owners feelings about them, so, if you want help, your at the right place, if you just want to be a little girl, it's not the place for sympathy.

I like my CM40, I got a good one. When I called Kahr, I was very polite and professional. The guy was a dick. I didn't get his name. But seeing some of the guns that come from that company, recently that T9 with the machining marks all over the place, is ridiculous. I think they have quality control problems, and I think they have a bad apple answering the phone now and then. I'm keeping my Kahr.

In my 1st 200 rds my CM9 broke a follower. Kahr sent me 2 new ones "just in case". 3000 rds later I haven't had a glitch. No complaints here!

I'm new here, and have had no experience with Kahr cust service, and really do not expect to, we have had a couple of Kahrs in the past and we had just got a PM9. so far 150 or so rounds through it with no issues, what I was talking about when I said I don't expect to have a lot of dealings with cust service was not because I think this gun will never **** up it because when I get a new to me gun or brand new out of the box and I cannot repair any problem myself the gun no matter how much I wanted it gets traded or sold, had a very bad experience with Taurus cust service years ago and I swore at the time never again

I found Kahr's customer service to be responsive, courteous and helpful both by phone and email.

That's good to know, but still I'd be watchful, case in point about Taurus, a few weeks ago I traded for a PT 709 slim, for the cost (250) a well made 9mm, but it only had one mag, no shops, dealers, gun shows, had anything, I have 4 or 5 mags for everything I got, so I call Taurus cust service and once the found what I wanted I got put on hold and forgot about at least 20 mins, next day sold 709 and got the the PM9, still have two pt 738s (380s) they will probably find a new home today

this looks like almost as much fun as finding mags for that goofy .380 that Taurus sells. "here's your gun and one mag, enjoy." this is obviously some Brazillian conspiracy, fraud thing?

Customer service quality is in the eye of the beholder. There's no problem they haven't seen or heard. The bullsh|t stories are normally the ones that are met with resistance. Break a follower? They send a new one or two. Continue to break them and you send gun in for repair/replacement. That's how it works. They are very likely told explicitly not to discuss possible flaws a model may have, instead they offer you a solution that could satisfy you. We are all human, and no one likes to hear people bash the product that puts food on your family's table. And customer service reps hear it all day long! I'm not mocking or making excuses for anyone, just saying look at the big picture.

I did email Kahr with a question about two months ago. Still waiting for a response. I hope that's not how I'll get treated if I ever have a serious problem. One of the most important things we should confirm (and seldom do) before we buy anything is customer service. Too often, once the glitter wears off, we learn how important customer service really is.

Where is their customer service? I know they will be moving into their new manufacturing building in Pennsylvania soon. Maybe the customer service people that aren't making the move have just quit trying.

Whats the question? The folks here may be able to answer. I feel like there's some serious expertise here between Greg, Muggsy and others.

I've had just a few CS interactions with Kahr - all email, all of the variety "X isn't working right what should I do?" The (prompt) answer every time so far "Send it in and we'll fix it or swap it. Use RMAxxxxxxx" To me, that's ideal customer service. When I try to get customer service from electronics, computer software, automotive or most any manufacturer of consumer goods besides guns there's more hassle involved even if they eventually solve my problem, (although I have to say Kohler has been as good as a gun maker)
                        Rest in peace Muggsy

Did a dumb thing. Was cleaning the barrel on my P9 and got the brilliant (I'm SO GIFTED like that) idea of just soaking the barrel in my jar of Hoppe's #9 rather than swabbing it out. NOT A GOOD IDEA. I gave it a long soak and when I got it out of the Hoppe's the barrel had a gray tint from half the chamber to the crown. The rear portion of the chamber is still silver, the rest is now a light gray tint. Tried Brake Kleen, alcohol, Break Free, Rem Oil, etc. but none of those would restore the finish so I just knew Kahr would help me out. My question to them was "What can I do to restore the original finish to my barrel?" A simple "Nothing!" would have sufficed but they chose to hit "delete" after reading my post. I realize my post was NOT earth-shaking nor does it affect the functionality of my gun but I thought I would give it a try to see if they would try to help. Well, like the first "ding" in a new car, you get over it with time and move on. I don't think I even notice the difference anymore. I'm only bringing this up since you were considerate enough to ask. Thanks

If you ever wanted to even out the color just soak it in some polident denture cleaner over night. The wafer kind that dissolves in water like an alka seltzer. it will even strip the color out of anodized metal leaving a dull gunmetal grey color.

That's a new one on me, I'm aching to find something to try that out on.

I wonder if the outside could be polished. How much the Hoppes got into the nickel, if it's still polishable ya know?
