Mine must not be early enough (wink). My Beretta mags won't lock into the Bersa...the Bersa mag will lock into the Berettas with their slides locked back, but the front feed lips are too high for the slides to close.

Nice Dura-Matic! IMO, those are under appreciated pistols. The Colt Cadet and the Beretta Neo have roots in the Dura-Matic's design.

Sorry to read of this. Is that thing loaded? I ask because the extractor is sitting out a lot further from the frame than the one on mine does (which reminds me that was something I was going to mess with). Have you thought of giving Eagle Imports a call about it? Another thought would be to pick up an extra recoil spring then chop it down a little at a time to see if the function improves. It does look to be in good shape.

It's a shame they dropped the Lux...great rifle. I just bought a walnut stock for my Ultra Lux and probably will get one for my Trainer.

Here's a Romanian M69 .22LR Military Trainer. They're a little rough, but can be cleaned up some. Regardless of appearance, if the bore is good, they are usually great shooters.

      • After Bawanna's Daisy, this is a bit of a let down. Still, this $24 plinker gets alot of use with little pests. It can be pumped to harass rather than damage too.

I love that size air rifle. Those Crosman Pumpmasters and the Daisy Powerline offerings are a lot of bang for the buck.
As you say, great versatility with the multi-pump option. On the top end, it's hard to find that power and size in a springer
I had a Sheridan Blue Streak back in the day and wish I still had it. Now, I've a small, break barrel springer I use for pests around the house. I've another that side cocks, but it isn't at it's best in low light. The same with a Daisy 953 (single stroke pneumatic).
I do have a couple of pretty good (especially at the price point) air pistols. They are also excellent plinkers

          • The Bersa wasn't loaded in the pic, and I noticed the extractor too. Loaded or empty, it sticks out in battery. If I retract the slide 1/16" the extractor goes flush.

I thought about doing the spring chop, but I'm going to try other ammo first.

            • Figured I'd show my other plinker. This one is a tack driver and the stock trigger is real nice.
I'm glad this thread got started. Reminds me of how much more .22 ammo I can buy and shoot for what I spend in 9mm and .45 each month.

The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Gotta love the Rugers, thanks for sharing yours with us A nice trigger sure makes them a joy to shoot.
Do you know if your trigger has an over-travel adjustment?
I don't know about the MKIII pistols, but some MKII Target models had stock triggers that were adjustable for over-travel. They are not the easiest to adjust as
you have to lift the trigger out of the frame. Some add a pre-travel screw as well: http://www.1bad69.com/ruger/pretravel.htm

Im not sure if it has an overtravel adjustment or not but I may have to look. Its the mkIII hunter and the trigger feels like a 2 stage with a super light takeup and then it breaks like glass. It hardly has any travel after the break.

My daughter has claimed the pistol as hers at my departing this world or possibly earlier. When she was little she would set up and shoot shotgun shells at 10 yards with it. Amazed the others at the range back then. It had the original cocobolo grips on it then. I've since put the Hogue grips on it because it gave my big paws more to grab onto and helps me a lot.

                      Thanks for those links too.

I gulp when I think about how much I spent on that pistol. I probably wouldn't do it today.

My goal at the time was to get the most accurate .22 pistol and rifle I could afford at the best value. That was when I got the CZ rifle and the Ruger pistol. Neither one have disappointed me at all and shoot way better than I do.

Now that is awesome. I went out today and shot the one I picked up last week. I am very pleased.

Go to grab a guns website and get you some mags. They have good prices. I ordered me some and they arrived today.

                              • Is a good target gun a plinker? If so, here's a nice Buckmark Field 5.5 I found a while ago. I was literally stunned at how good this pistol shot. A "best buy" if ever I found one.

As a fun "plinker" type compliment to the target model Browning, I came across this nickle Buckmark micro at a gun show. The seller said "make me an offer." I said "$250.00". It's been a lot of fun. Certainly worth the money.
